<Pony> <OC> Zecora's Swing

I was messing around FL, playing around with this neat synth i made.
Suddenly this happened. Some funky 100bpm zecora.

That's a fun track. I'm sure there might be things you could tweak but the big one thing for me was the vocals. Just too hard to hear and they sounded very flat but otherwise a very good use of them.

Yeah, i'm not very good in processing vocals. Any advice?

There's been lots of threads on that in technique in here that you might want to look up. From what I got from the advice was to compress the vocals, make sure you don't have them fighting with any instruments in frequency (by Eq'ing them out of any instrument) and then double tracking and hard panning them left and right. These 3 tips seem to be the best way to get them to work best. But look into the more detailed descriptions you 'll get in the links on

as I don't want to shortchange you on any technique advice by those who know far more than me on the subject.

You're gonna want to EQ out a lot of treble, since that can get in the way of the instruements, but an important thing to consider when working with vocals is to make sure you find out where the peaks are for your synths and other instruments, and them boost those areas on your vocals a bunch. The frequencies will combine and make the vocals stand out much better than they would on their own. If the vocals seem too quiet on their own, and you don't want to have your channel go above 0db, then just lay down 4 or 5 until it's at the level you want.

On second thought, don't do any of these things. I've never worked with vocals, so I don't have any useful tips.
