My First Song Ever, Feedback is Appreciated

Postby Indigo Spectrum » 03 Apr 2012 01:22

Hey guys, so this is the first song that I have ever made.

Please give feedback on things that I could do more, ways to improve the sound, etc. You guys are such a great community and I really wanted to create something for this all of you, even if it is really bad.

Thank you all so much!

I really dig the trance-style beat mixed with almost lounge-jazz synths. It is a bit repetitive though, and long to boot. I'd definitely shorten it, but that's just me and my short attention span. This is the kind of stuff that's perfect to listen to while trying to concentrate, like when driving or doing homework. I can totally zone out to this, and it's excellent.

For a first track, this is pretty good. I'll follow you on SoundCloud.

EDIT: The length and repetitiveness makes this a brilliant contender for a video game, however. It'd fit perfectly with a game like Wipeout Pure, or something odd like AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard For Gravity.

This is leaps and bounds ahead of my first song. I really mean that, if you keep at this I know you'll do fine.
I don't have any feedback to offer, other than repetitiveness.

I'd encourage you to, rather than tweak your old work, to produce new music. As you do, try new things, and you will improve astronomically.

This is actually amazing for a first song.
I still have trouble making a good drum beat ;)

Thank you all so much for the feedback! It really means a lot to me.
And hopefully I can make something that doesn't have as much loops as this one does, I mean, this was almost entirely composed of loops!

Anyways, thank you all so much!

the first part of the track reminded me sitting in front of a ps3 final fantasy game and setting some stuff in the menu. x3 and that is a good thing! :)
