This is just kind of something I made... not really sure why. I tried to implement some random EQing and sub-bass tips I saw around, but I can't say for sure how well that worked. Any general tips of things I can try next time are much appreciated.

the composition itself isn't bad. try studying up on some theory, especially on song and chord structure. you have something going here, but it sounds exactly as you described it: something without a meaning.
it may just be my laptop, but is there any bass in this song? adding that would def improve the depth and complexity of the song.
the transition to pure violin near 2:40 is kinda awkward, actually, a lot of the transitions are awkward. i'm not really sure how to fix this, i guess its just the sort of thing you pick up as you go along.

but yeah, keep working friend. it sounds good for an early work.
