<Non-Pony><WIP><Original> Some Dubstep

Postby Doctor Wurzel » 31 Mar 2012 21:36

Just got FL Studio 10 (Producer) a couple weeks ago and finally sat down with it two days ago to see what I could do. I have never tried making Dubstep and I'm not much of a huge fan of it either (Weird that I made this then, I know), so this is a first not only with FL Studio, but also with Dubstep. This is what I've gotten done since yesterday, and any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

It's a start but you should really get some structure to it since it's repetitive atm. Dubstep, at least how I've been told to do it, follows a simple format with segments, often 8 or 16 bars long, played in a predictable pattern. Other than that it just needs a bit more flesh on the bones. I.e. melodies, chords and such. Keep at it! :)

Thanks, I'm still trying to figure out all the effects and synthesizers that my old program lacked in, if it had any at all. I don't listen to much Dubstep but I know what you mean by the patterns. Right now I'm trying to figure out some pads for background filler and the Slayer synth for some guitar stuff.
