Enjoy, I guess? This song was a whole bunch of experimentation for me, so tell me what you think.

These are my thoughts as I listen..

Intro's good, it serves its purpose well. The melodies (piano and strings), at 0:28 and on, seem to be lacking a lot of frequencies, they sound for lack of a better word 'empty' and 'lacking'. The kick should be closer to the front of the mix, not thee front but close, the cymbal crash is a little to loud at times and gets in the way of everything else. Distorted guitar is a nice addition could be a little louder and more higher frequencies. 2nd build is nice and explodes back into the same as before.

I like this piece, what I would do it lower the volume of the cymbal crash and boost almost everything else.
Then take an EQ on the master channel and use a bandaxall curve with a wide Q and put that at 20kHz, the curve should start at just below 10kHz and contiually rise past 20kHz, this will help bring out a lot of the intruments

Gah. I had problems where the drums were clipping so I put a limiter on the master. I'll try do what you said when I get home.

EDIT:

I fixed it, I think.

Little tip: dont put anything on the master unless you absolutly have to, or when everything else is finished. In my latest track all I had on my master was a simple eq boosting the highs to give the track more life (actually I did exactly what I told you to do earlier), use proper volume control and limiters/compressors as a last resort because they will take away from the dynamics of the sound. Leave compressors and limiters on the master off until the very end once you have every sound sounding its best, then when mastering use them sparingly.

My only criticism, as already pointed out by the4thimpulse, is that the piano seems to sound quite muffled. Aside from that, I definitely enjoyed it, great work =).
