Loved this! <3. What is it in piano that makes me like it so much?

The crashes feel a bit out of place though.

Yeah, maybe. I had a hard time finding the right balance and volume. I just got lazy and left them there.

I also noticed there is a distinct lack of bass. That's bad isn't it?

The song isn't missing it, it's not worth spending the time to add.

I know I say this to everyone but more variation and less time spent repeating a single melody. I see musicians here overly concerned with production issues, once a song is good /enough/ that time is better spent elsewhere.
