<WIP> <Original> <Pony> Parasprite

So, a couple days ago, Sethisto challenged Equestria Daily readers to create song lyrics about a villain from My Little Pony. He went on to suggest that folks should look up instrumental songs on YouTube to write lyrics to, but by then I'd already decided to write my own song. Why not.

So, loosely interpreting 'villain' as 'antagonist', I am writing a song about Parasprites. It's in 7/8, and the lyrics are all written in haiku. What I have up is far from finished, but might give anyone who's interested an idea of what I'm thinking of doing with it. The haiku lyrics will click into a solid eighth note rhythm; five beats of one measure with three rests, then all seven beats, then five again plus three rests, then a measure rest. I'm also working on a dubstep (sorta) feeling break, and I'll be adding a chorus somewhere.

the song i think really depicts the parasprites well! maybe if there was some fast saw lead thing going back and forth between different notes, it might sound a bit more parasprites. (well in my logic it might) lol

Why thank you. I quite love 7/8, and it seems to work pretty well with parasprites. The voices I came up with are reasonably good, too, if I do say so myself.

You're right. Probably in the chorus; that'll work well.
