A woodwind quintet, in crappy MIDI form. Way too much reverb, but you get what you pay for I suppose. A real performance should happen sometime in April....
In about 5 parts:
1. Polyphonic quasi-fugue
2. Melody & accompaniments style
3. "Pointillistic" mutations interrupted by:
4. A horn call leading into a repeated flute figure
5. A slow reflective finale
Missing from the MIDI:
- Timbral difference between muted and unmuted horn (the part at 0:24 should be muted)
- A dramatic 5-person breathing-in gesture at the 0:35 pause
- A dramatic 5-person foot-stomping gesture at the 2:00 pause
- Smooth clarinet glissandi
