This is my very first attempt at a song, and hopefully, it isn't something which makes one want to rip their ears off :?

I also figured this would be the right thread to post it in, and every tip I can get to improve is appreciated.

(Yeah, I know it sounds horrible, but it was my first attempt at ever creating something; gently.. Please)

Since it is first attempt at making a song, i won't go into things like EQ, and what not.
Overall, i kinda like it. The part at the end doesn't work to good, according to me. I would try change both the sound and the notes that it is playing.
Keep working on it and post it when it isn't a WIP anymore. We have tons of skilled musicians that can help you out.

This is better than my first attempt so I'll say yes, keep at it, as you progress, you'll learn new things and make your stuff sound more awesome. That synth at the end does need looking into.

I kind of figured out the same, as that part was simply made by me toying around with different sounds. I suppose I'll try redoing it tomorrow, and hopefully I'll find a sound fitting to the songs theme.

Any tips? I'm half-dead after spending hours to learn the basics in FL Studio :P

Just learn the stuff as you go along, I have taught myself to use FL Studio and I don't think there's a better tutorial than that. Just remember; Filters help out a lot if you just can't find an opportunity to break the song up :)

The melodies are good, you can now drop one of those leads and introduce a synth or so, the possibilities are endless :D

Actually, I really liked where the synth in the last bit was going. Yeah, something sounds a little odd about it, but I really liked the idea behind it. This is a good start. I guess the only tip I can give you right now is don't stop messing around, and have fun!
