[Trap] Need some assistance with buildups and beat drops.

Hello! As some of you may know, Alex S. recently put out a stem pack for his latest track: Principalities. A couple days ago, I grabbed it and started working on a trap remix. This is what I have so far. I think the intro and the second half of the drop are pretty solid, but the build and the first half of the drop are giving me a bit of trouble. In addition, my headphones broke earlier this week so I've been working off my stereo. In other words: the mastering is probably shit too. But I'll get to that later.

This reminds me alot of rap music, just the sounds that are used.
For the build, I would try putting a subbass on it and some drums and maybe starting the riser at the very start of the build and maybe boosting the pads at little bit because there melody seems to be very nice. The time frame for the build is pretty short, so it's kind of hard to work with, you might want to try and extend it, I think that might work.
As for the first part of the drop, I'm not too familiar with trap in general, but I would try putting some random bass during the periods of silence that happened when transitioning to the next melody set.
That's all I can really say without sounding like a complete dumb ass, so sorry for the small amount of feedback.
