This is another thing I worked on today, I got one of my friends to do a short recording of himself for me to sample. I was attempting to invoke a somber feeling, not sure how well I did. Feedback would really help out. If anyone was wondering, the recording is of him saying, "I'm sorry".

First thing: sexy sexy intro lead. Absolutely love the sound. I don't know what it reminds me of, maybe 80s movies or something. Hi hat clicky thing is a little too clicky - try softening it up a little bit, add some light reverb or just dull down the highs. Reverse sample is really chill. Strings sound pretty good but the piano in the background sounds a little haphazard - some elements sound more procedurally generated than composed (which might be what you're going for - that's kind of what C148 did with the minecraft music).

Also I'm not sure if I hear clipping but make sure that you have a limiter on your master at least to catch anything that goes over 0db. Overall it has a very cool atmosphere.

Thanks for the compliment on the lead, strings, and reverse sample. Yeah, the piano was kind of just me randomly placing notes until it sounded good to me. Not sure what you mean by procedurally generated, but it probably has to do with how natural it sounds. Or doesn't, in this case. If I wanted it to sound composed, how would I go about that? And yeah, I have a limiter on the master channel. It isn't going above 0db, so it must be something else you're hearing. I'll be sure to fix these things.
