<Nonponi><Metalcore/Hardcore> Scars Have Faded - Resonate

Ok, so I wasn't sure whether to just throw this in the spam thread or give it it's own Music Post, but I figure it's the closest i'll come to releasing my own music for a while, and this section is here for music.

So, have Resonate the second release from my band's upcoming EP Misconceptions. It will be a six track EP with 3 of the songs featuring guest vocals from Justin Kyle, lead singer of the American band Jamie's Elsewhere, as well as two singers in local Australian bands.

I'm currently the bassist for Scars Have Faded (but I could possibly be the future lead guitarist - shush don't tell Brad I said that).

Tell me what you think of it :3

We have another song out called Vanguard, and I could link that in this thread later on, maybe.

Metalcore :D
I like how it's not really djent unlike everything else today.
Personally i'm not a big fan of the vocals but the riffs are pretty cool.
Also the breakdown is pretty epic.
The guitars don't really sound that powerful though, maybe get your guitarist(s) to use a booster/overdrive pedal in front of the amp, or up the tone on it. Personally i use a tube screamer to push the amp (like many people do tho, it makes everything sound so much more powerful)
All in all i don't really have much more to say. It's awesome.

Haha, thanks. Truthfully, I really don't like the guest vocals in this song. Would have sounded much better if Ben had done the parts rather than Solway.

And I spoke to Brad (Producer and Guitarist) bout what you thought about the guitars not being powerful enough and he agreed. He did a bit of unnecessary EQ'ing before he put it up on Youtube, and didn't think it sounded all that right either, so we'll probably change that by the time the EP is out. Also we'll have much better cymbals for the EP, we're changing them too.

And I promise I will review your track! I've finally finished school so I have a bunch of free time now, I will definitely review it soon!

Yeah, Kind of. Atleast I think so. Which confuses me as to why he's put it up on bandcamp already.

I think we only released this because we've been waiting so long for Justin Kyle to finish off the guest vox. The EP was supposed to be out about a month or two ago (or even possibly three months.)
