The kick is kinda echoey. Sounds like it was recorded on an unmuffled set in a very reflective room. If that's what you're going for, then more power to you, but I feel like it's not very effective, and it kinda flops rather than bangs.

I liked the mod bass section, even if you supposedly forgot to remove the highpass on the chords. It gave it a sort of classic 90's acid breaks feel. I think it'd be tight if you kept it as it is.

Alright thanks for this :D

And when you say the kick is echoey, do you mean the kick that plays in the intro? Because that's intentional. If you mean the kick in like, the chorus/mod bass section then that's not intentional and I should change that.

And if you want to hear the mod bass section with the chords, which I personally think sounds better, I have an updated version dropboxed here. Also just a few other things are different, so yeah.

The drums or beat in general could use some change, and by change I mean variation, it only sounds like "1 2, 1 2, 1 2" and so on, which can get kind boring.

The lead singer's voice might sound a little better with some vibrato? like at the end of her extended words, like 00:13, 00:18, or when ever she holds a note longer than the others. It might sound like absolute shit, but I'm just visualizing this in my head, which usually sounds better than expected, and because of the vibrato you might have to speed up the overall song a little, just to keep it in pace. JUST an idea, might be a shitty one, but it's an idea. Her voice sounds pretty good with me just listening to it, but yeah, idea. maybe some effects on it? just idea.

Lastly, it could use more sounds, from :36 to 1:20 it's pretty much the same thing, and at 1:50 too, seems like the same thing for about 25 seconds. Just variation in general might help, same with the synth or piano at :36-1:20 or maybe just add an underlying synth to back it up, just make sure you save before you start changing things, if you do that is.

Pretty much it's a great song, the bass sounds terrific at 1:30, but the softness of her voice sounds like the bass should be softer or less intense, maybe some effects or intensify her voice a little? IDEA, not saying you should. but overall great song, GG dude, and keep it up.

I'm really digging this track. Those vocals just sit nice and well with the instrumental track itself, which if it were by itself, it wouldn't be the slightest bit boring. And those drums with that high hat add a lot more to it. Probably my favorite part of this track is the beginning to middle, and the outro part.

Where I would criticize would be at that bassy part before the end of the track, or just the bass drum in general. They don't feel punchy enough, they're just a bit annoyingly muffly - to me at least. But anyway, a pretty good track overall.
Heyo! I LOVE punk and ska music. I make it too. PM me about it, add me as a friend (I'm lonely).

Variation is definitely the main thing I've been working on at the moment, I was really getting the impression that there were a few parts that just need some work. And that drum beat's really just been something temporary that I've been putting off on changing, so I'm planning on adding a bit more to that.

I would totally be up for this if I were actually the one working with the vocalist, but it's just a vocal string so unless I did some work in newtone (which would probably come out shitty) there's really not much I can do.

My kick really needs work, I know ;~;, something I'm working on right alongside adding variation.

Thanks to both of you for the feedback/bump, especially since I haven't had a ton of time to work on this lately.

Actually you can, with the fantastic Harmor! So I was right, vibrato was terrible, lol. I tried it on some random vocal and it was bad, but what I did do was I sliced the part of the vocal I wanted to speed up, put the vocal into the image folder and created an automation of the image time offset, and boom, I speed up the vocals just enough so it doesn't sound like they're speaking a million miles an hour. Of course this is no easy task because you have to make it precise when slicing and automating cause you dont want it sounding like shit or skipping any parts, or you can just put the whole vocal in harmor and just speed up the part you want, but that didn't work so well, so I'd say slicing is the best. But if you rather not do any of that mess, that's good because it's just an idea.

Srry about stressing "idea," I just dont want to give off the impression that i'm telling you what to do. But, yeah, just keep on hanging in there and you'll do great.
