I watched a lot of tutorials on Drum and Bass, I think I did good on the EQing. The drumline is partially sampled, the original sample was a kick snare pattern, so I layered it, and put some hats on it. If you guys notice anything wrong, or something I could fix, i'd love to hear it

Just going to go out on a limb here and guess you used some of the patches/samples from this project? I mean, samples I can understand but I recommend making your own patches, otherwise, it's going to take a lot longer to learn proper sound design, and it's not something that can (or should) be put off forever.

The entire thing is a bit repetitive, like, it could definitely use some chord progression changes or something, because honestly 5 minutes of a chord progression just gets tiring to listen to. The drum patterns are kinda weak. Mixing overall, is kinda eh. Some moments are cleaner than others, main sections I would say need work are the high tension sections.

Sorry if my feedback came off as a bit harsh, because it is a decent first shot at drum and bass. Definitely keep working on composition though as well as sound design.

I have to agree with Genkar, the entire is a bit repetitive, there is very little variation on the sounds, bass, the overall beat, and the chords. I have just seen this, and I agree that you used quite a bit of the patches.

At first I thought you did a terrible job at the EQing, but that was just me eating crackers. But I didn't really notice anything other than that about it, mostly cause I just skipped across some of it because it was too repetitive.

Overall, it's a decent piece, it could use more variation, and I guess the EQing was okay. And you MUST try and not just use patches to fill your playlist, experimentation is the only way you'll become more creative, which is the most important thing when making music, and riff machine is not being creative either. Don't give up, just keep on trying and experimenting and you'll do great.
