General WIP thread

I heard this idea yesterday on Skype, and I've been waiting for someone to make a thread about it, but it didn't come?

Anyway, here it is. This thread is sounds/projects/concepts/whatever for things you think don't deserve its own specific thread, but you would really like some feedback about. For example, you're working on a single bass wobble and you just can't get it right... Or you've just created a lead or a kick you want some feedback on but you don't have a track for it yet.

I'll start off. I accepted Derpy's challanges yesterday to make a little composition using ONLY 1 sample. I chose a vocal from Fluttershy singing 'HOOOOOONEEYYYYY!!!' because it's got a lot of potential for a lead and it's quite challanging to create a kick out of it... but I did! The following is a preview created with honey.wav and pitch shifting + effects:

Posted this a while ago, didn't really get much feedback. Looking back on it now, I see a bunch of problems, but I'd like to see what anyone else could point out about it to (as I intend to eventually finish this song)

First of all, the first lead really needs some EQ'ing. It's loud and too much high frequencies make my ears bleed .___. The second (guitar) lead is better, but I think I hear some clipping in there. Could just be me though...

Also, the vocal samples feel a little out of place. Like you just cropped and pasted them right into the timeline. I'd suggest playing with them a little to match the track more.

I'm currently busy on a DNB production called Save Equestria based on Mare Do Well for the Bronies For Charity album. It's going to have some vocals from Save The World - Swedish House Maffia.

Here's a fill I just sort-of finished, it's going to be right before a transition. I've never done DNB before though, so... Thoughts?
