Today I was supposed to be productive, type up my part of the report on our implementation of the Freeman chain code in Matlab and whip up a quick presentation about the progress (aka completeness) of my thesis. But no, curiosity had to rear its time-consuming head and I ended up loafing around with some new VSTi's. One sounded astral, one was a pretty gnarly bass, and before I knew it I was plugging in my guitar to lay down an additional layer of carnage.

Obvious WIP is obvious. I need to come up with the rest of the song, although I do have some idea shards and an overall structure idea.

The song attempts to depict Nightmare Moon just around the time she appeared in Ponyville... how it all could have been if not for the fact that it would suck to kill off the series two episodes in

Feedback of any sort is very appreciated, this is my first time fooling around with VSTi's other than slapping on a generic "try to be realistic" drum machine.

Thank'ee. I went and spiffed the intro, improved the drum track, and added some little discordant guitar fills. So yeah, that's this part of the song pretty much taken care of.

Sounding awesome so far! I particularly like the high pitched synth being completely dissonant against the rest of the piece! Can't wait to hear it finished!
