I'd like to know if I'm going the right direction with this track. I am obviously trying to sound like Daft Punk, but I want to know if there's any mixing issues or annoying sounds. Also, should I make it longer?

From a general listener perspective (because I don't know a whole lot about the mechanics of music, or french house in particular), I think it sounds pretty good! There aren't any issues that my untrained ear can pick up. And as far as length, I think it's fine where it is, but making it longer would not be a problem at all if you want to.

Might I ask what exactly the BPM is on this?
My goal is to be capable of making any kind of music that strikes my fancy, and do it well.

Yes, it's at the original song's BPM which is about 114. I would have sped it up, but I thought this sounded better.

French House isn't usually my cup of tea, but you've pulled this off remarkably well (then again I know next to nothing about the genre)

Mmm, I really like what you got there so far, it's pretty enjoyable and refreshing to listen to French House, and I think you are going in the right direction, as far as the mixing goes, I think 0:17 - 0:33 has a couple of issues. I feel as if the subbass, I think it's from the kick..? Is a little too powerful, only a little bit though, I also think the tamb (I think that's what it is from 0:17 to 1:24) is overwhelming a little, I think you need to lower the frequency down a bit on that, it pierces pretty hard on the high end.

Other than that, I really like what you got.

WOW! ok so like i listen to a lot of these here songs that people be posting on here and although i don't comment on every single one, i do listen to quite a bit of em.

With dat being said, i have to say that this is the first time that i have liked a song so much, i wish there was a download for it. :D it might just be because im a sucker for funky grooves and guitar sounds but this really sounds great! are the guitar sounds in the beginning samples or are they your own? cause they sound so solid n funky!!

the only complaint i have is at 1:08-1:25 is the pauses. they just sound a bit awkward. i dont know how i would fix that to be honest but they just dont sound as polished as the rest of the song. also the large amount of bass is really cool. I dunno if its too much but it really gives the song a lot of solidness.

so all in all very good! :D:D
