Hmm hmm hmm, chiptune happens to be one of the few things I can do sufficiently, along with rap. Perhaps I could make a Famitracker piece for you if scholastic obligations don't impede my ability to do so. We'll have to see.

Wow, this might just be the first album you've started that may indeed get some response. Good job, DJColeTPony. Looks like you don't need to revise your methods, just keep trying and you'll get it eventually.

I actually almost considered re-wording it because I had a flash of suspicion people would think it was a put-on, but I didn't feel enough of an inclination to think up a way to phrase it that was less technical.

Yes, that's right. I didn't use vernacular phrases because, of all the reasons it could have been, it was because I was too lazy to do so.

I swear something is wrong with me

In any case, I'm going to be working on something tonight hopefully, I'll see if I can't nail down an idea or five. I have some questions I neglected to ask earlier, however:

1. What expansion chips will be allowed, if any? For example, in Famitracker you can use the default chip (2A03/2A07), or you can use expansion chips like the Konami VRC6 or Nintendo MMC5. I'm fairly sure custom expansion chips exist as well. Where should the line be drawn?

2. What's the length limit on submissions? That goes for both minimum and maximum length specifications. I'm a little bit confused on what "12" means for length limit. Twelve minutes is of course what I'm assuming, but maybe I'm wrong? Does it mean twelve possible track submissions from each individual? Twelve songs on the album? Is it the number of times I have to re-read it before I realize what you mean?

3. Submission deadline is January 1st, but when can we expect the album to be published, and where? Are we allowed to upload full tracks to our YouTubes/SoundClouds before the album drops, or only teasers (or not at all)? And finally, is it free or monetized, and if it's the latter, where da money goin to, dawg?

4. Are we allowed to beat anyone who tries to use GSXCC to death, or only enough to put them in the hospital? And are we allowed to use baseball bats, and if so, wooden or aluminum?

Although there might have been some humor in a couple of these, the core questions are still valid and I would like to know their answers, please.

If I have time, and if I feel like it... Maybe...
What are the boundaries of chip tunes? Do you have to use the real deal (gameboys n shit) or can you play around with lo-fi samples?

And isn't 1st of january a bit of a wierd deadline to set? It's when ppl are out partying for new years, and I know a lot of ppl like working on the last minute... I'll probably send in early if I do it though...

Actually, that's a good point. And if we don't have to use gameboy or SID chips and shit, are we to strictly emulate 8-bit music? As in, are we only allowed to simultaneously use 3 voices etc?
