As you have hopefully noticed, this is a preview. The stems will be of this, because they were made at the time that I had this preview (I was in a hurry okay? I really can't give you just a few weeks.

THE IDEA
Here is a copypasta to explain the main story:
"I got severe learning problems, which caused me to fail on school last year. I go to a place called the CCL (Centre for Creative Learning) once per week (hopefully soon four times per week) to learn how to handle my problem, as there's no way to get rid of it. The CCL, though, is currently in need for financial support, so they're doing a fundraising congress on November 20st. I'm gonna be the opening act, performing my original track (and most-likely that track alone (this is subject to change) - and behind turntables), to give the people a good start of the day (it's gonna last pretty much the whole day, this congress), after which I will explain the people who I am, why I played this track, and what the CCL did for me to make it possible (goes very deep, can't explain right now out of my head), this all to give the people their first dose of motivation to support the CCL. I'll be there probably the rest of the day selling the CDs (not a lot of people will attend as the entry fee is already expensive, so I'm probably keeping to around 75 physical copies), of which the turnout will go directly to the CCL. Which also means that I'll be strict on filtering all remixes, they gotta have a motivational spirit, they shouldn't be (too) dark or emotional, and they surely can't be very hard because of the audience that will buy the CDs."
Yea, I'm gonna sell physical copies of this. Those that win this will end up getting their music in the homes of around 75 people (depending on sales and amount of CDs).
So, I count on your common sense that you know what is appropriate. For example, I could approve of Hardstyle/Nu-Style (not Rawstyle), because it can be a great motivation, and because it's getting insanely commercialized over here in the Netherlands (we even got it on the Pop radio quite a lot). But please, use your own common sense. Remember who you're making this for, primarily ;)
DEADLINE
The deadline is November 17th. I know this isn't a lot of time, but I really can't give you more. I need to send all in to Ramon (from LEAF XCEED Music Division) asap so he can release this thing on November 20st.
THIS MEANS THAT I NEED TO HAVE ALL REMIXES 18TH OF NOVEMBER!
RULES
- Your remix has to be at least 3 minutes long.
- Your remix should be appropriate for this audience (not too hard, not too dark/emotional).
Q&A
Q: Why should I make a remix for this?
A: For a chance to get a release on a label (I'm hopefully gonna release this on LEAF XCEED Music Division), and getting your remix played through a CD in the households of Dutch families (pssst, I might even play it in front of the audience if you impress me something big, and if I can arrange for it to happen).
Q: What with the mastering?
A: I'd prefer you to master it by yourself. Note that I probably won't notice if you don't master it, but please, do master it if you can/have the time. At least get rid of clipping stuff.
Q: How is this judged?
A: I will judge by myself, nothing too difficult, I'll make sure it's appropriate for the audience, and I'll select a few of the best remixes that sound good to go on the release.
Q: How and where do I submit?
A: Please upload your remix (in WAV and MP3) to MediaFire/Dropbox/Box, and mail it to [email protected]
Q: When my remix is done, can I put it up on SoundCloud/YouTube/a public site?
A: If SoundCloud, add the Bandcamp album (link below) as "Buy" link (don't need to use custom title).
If YouTube, just ask people to follow that link and put it there.
Just DON'T put it up for free download. Is all I ask.
