I'm taking over this project and starting a new thread because people from the past thread may not be up for it anymore.
So the idea is you pick an element of (insert sub/genre here). Then we all make a big collaborative thing mixing all the genres. So respond below picking your element of harmony. Also, if you were GOING to be involved in the last one, I think you should retain the right to use the element you chose prior to this new thread.
Also, PLEASE suggest ideas if you have any on how to pull this project off seamlessly.
I'll work out due dates when we brainstorm an organizational method for doing this. We definitely want to be unified with common themes for this. This may be out there, but a modified sonata form could be cool for this, since it uses variations on a couple of themes.

A lot of what he said here still applies. There will be a few changes though. First, instead of every person having their own genre, there will be a smaller number of genre "Teams." The song will be started off by one team, and then handed off to the next in rotation. Each time it comes to be a team's turn, all of the teams members will collaborate in adding elements of their genre to the song.
The genres that the teams are will be decided by popular vote.
First you guys all throw your suggestions at me, as many genre ideas as you'd like to see done.
Then, I take the 10 to 12 or so most commonly mentioned genres and hold a poll.
How many teams there are all depends on how many people join in, or in some cases, haven't abandoned this project. All projects will be shared from team to team in the form .wav stems. Each team should respect the input of the other teams and focus on adding elements of your own genre, as opposed to changing what the other teams have already done.
Also, team members are encouraged to develop side-collab-projects with individuals of other teams, each still producing in the style of their team.
The new deadline for all submissions is January fifth.
If you want in to the skype chat, my skype is nikki-layne. Just contact me and I'll add you.
I still need to decide on where to post the final results. If you have any ideas, please PM me.

First step: Genre suggestions. Give me ALL the genres you'd like to see done, but don't be too specific when it comes to sub-genres.
