So Coming up in a few Month's is a currently unannounced Steve Aoki Concert at the Whiskey Bar here in Portland Oregon, the show is set to go at around May 18 and I and My Partner's Jamie Meushaw and Even Alexander Have Been Chosen to basically be the "Local DJ's" to open for him, Basically. I want a pony song to open for Steve Aoki.
A few Thing's:
- No Glitch-Style (not Many Crowd's Like That, including Steve)
- No Remixes of actual Song's from the Show (Copyright Issues, unless you own the song)
- No Sample Drowning (like don't use every Pinkie Pie Sample Ever, Crowd's tend on getting pissed at that) just maybe a few tastefully Placed sample's here OR there
- 125-128 BPM (Most Common Beat Pattern used in electronica/House)
- KNOW WHO YOUR MAKING MUSIC FOR (consider that what your making, whether it be good or not, may sound very Different than what they'll hear, it's a very common mistake)
- Don't Use Character Name's in the title (Like "Fluttershy's Flight" or anything like that, I can't use it unless you own the name, sorry)
the only reason you should consider this a big deal is
1. It's Steve Aoki
2. It'll be live, in front an audience
3. All of the song's in the set [Including your's] will be presented by multiple site's like djtunes.com, The "house Music Set's" Profile on soundcloud, mixcloud, Steve aoki's own website, redcube's official website, and whiskey bar's official website. - which will bring ALOT of recognition to your name and song, which would boost your popularity, which would help you gain bronie and non-bronie fans alike, which is kinda what alot of us music people want... right?
Here's one of my own song's that I'm using, I'm not saying use it as a reference, but just know the feel of I want. I have both the link (if the video doesn't work) and the video itself:
