The place I'm playing at; http://www.thebananza.com/index.html
Small-ish local spot where bands (and apparently DJ's, but that was new information to me as of last night) play. Normally they're local, and concert tickets range from 1-15 bucks, depending on who's playing. It's mostly metal and Indie once or twice, but last night DJ Goodfellow (Some guy from Laramie, Wyoming) and a senior from my high school, 'DJ Blue Ribbon' rocked the house and I and a friend of mine, where talking to the managers, and they offered us a gig in February; in the heat of the moment, we said yes, however I am now regretting this... My friend who'll remain nameless has been making music for two years now, and I've been at this two months, and we've already given them the $400 to secure our date, and their putting us in sometime February, we'll receive more details on that as it approaches.... Confirmed for the 24th of February!

APRIL, FRIDAY THE 27TH!!! YEAAAAAH!
SO EXCITED RAAAAAAAAAH YESSSS!!! ^.^
What I'm making the thread about, is.... Well, several things, actually.
First and foremost, I have played live before. I've done several livestreams for a few bronies I collab/work with on fanficton over Google docs, and while those 'crowds' numbered a max of like, 8 people, I've gotten pretty good with Vdj over that time, and I'm getting a controller for it for Christmas (When your the only one who gets the mail, and the only thing you asked for is from guitarcenter.com, and the box clearly says that in large black letters... yeah, anyway) Controller is a Hercules RMX MIDI Usb controller and external soundcard, software is Virtual DJ Pro 7 New laptop, 300gb hard drive, 1.3 GHz. Shitty laptop that can barely load a song properly. However, I have not played live for a pumping crowd of somewhere near 100 people full of my closest and farthest friends, not to mention a multitude of strangers. Any tips?
Second, I wanted to donate to the Smiles thing, (http://mylittleremix.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=989) however I have no money to do so, and it will be over by the time I play this show, (as I was intending to donate half of my cut of the pro-cedes to it) Any ideas there? Resolved!
Third, and before I even say this, yes, I intend on messaging these people individually. I want to play some of your guys' tracks, not just mine. It'll probably be a couple SilvaHound songs, some Tombstone, Omnipony, and maybe one or two others, but we'll see; are there any songs you all would like me to play, I mean, I won't be just playing someone's tracks without permission, (Like what happened last night, *Shakefist @ Goodfellow*) but yeah... I'll be recording my portion of the set, (Because vdj can do that; like a boss) and posting it up.... somewhere. Probably soundcloud. I will not be playing anyone's songs without their permission, and I reserve the right to reject a song... I'll got ahead and say; one person can post three songs, max, for me to play... Though someponies I might ask if I can play more, I think 4 is the max I want to play from one person right now though, so not much more, however while some people/ponies might think it cheap of me to play other people's music, keep in mind I am not exclusively playing other people's music, it is to maintain variety, so the crowd/listeners do not get bored, a Lot of people left halfway through Blue Ribbon because he played exclusively his own songs, and the bass he uses is kind of a 'trademark' Blue Ribbon sound, so everything sounds almost the same, and people got bored. I'm taking a doubly cautious approach to this by mixing in other people's songs with my own and using different bass sounds, well, mostly. Also resolved!
Anyways.... Uh, off to watch more tutorials and work my arse off some more, and be extremely overkill nervous about a concert two and a half months away; peace.
Oh! And I'll probably be releasing the songs I make specifically for this as a free EP, so watch out for that later.
Also; if you live anywhere near Cheyenne, WY; feel free to come on down when I do play, I would love to see some bronies in the crowd. I'll be flying a T-shirt, so I know I'll be representin'

Will update this as I gain more information.
