I've got a good Internet speed, so I can put the tracks on bandcamp. Also if Lu guys don't mind I'd love to do PR stuff, like create a fb page once we get some substance. I'll also help coordinate anything if you guys need help.

I like frozen over as well- lets brainstorm some other names too.
Also I'll create a skype group in a tad, so pm me your usernames if you want me to ad you.

Don't worry about fixing it up more if people want the name changed or something, but here's some criticism on the art:

Make the text for the widescreen pic smaller and more centralized so people can put info on their artist name/track in if they want to use it on youtube. Also, should make a square pic we can use as album art.

If you could make the text stick out slightly more... (I could help with that if you don't want to bother- drop the pics into my skype!) Also, what does the top text look like touching the text underneath?

btw- this is awesome.

Yeah, this was a just-for-fun desktop background type image, for the actual album I think it might be a good idea to design an actual logo

It's difficult to make the white stand out on white, so what I'm going to need to do (if I want to keep the naturalish look) is add some more rim lighting and perhaps some snow on top of the letters to further define them.

Fimbulin wrote:Also, what does the top text look like touching the text underneath?

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking here. Rephrase?

Your just for fun has potential! Yes, we will need a logo.

Make "Frozen" sit atop "Over" maybe?

Wow, this seems awesome. I'd totally be in for it, I haven't done a full ambient type track but I've been wanting to and this'll give me a good reason to do so! I'd also totally be up for helping in any way that I can (not sure exactly how, but yeahh). Only thing is I'm not sure how randomly busy I'll get -- I will be gone for like a week and a half in mid July. So, basically, I want in. =P

Ahhh, this keyboard works. :D

I like that album Cover and the Logo. maybe if we could stick that Logo possibly in the center of a black Background, possibly Vertical? just a personal idea :P

Make the art more pony. For a soft theme, fluttershy logo makes most sense. If it has pony, it can get on Equestria Daily.

That's True.

Can Changelings be suggested in the Cover art?

My little ponies, if you'll make this project happen, you should count me in. It's very good idea for an album and I would surely participate.

So, If the Deadline was November. It would probably be fitting (look at the album name) to release this in Winter. Right?

i'm not sure what you mean by that.
Do you mean like who's going to make what type of music for the album or are you talking about how to publicize this?

Just in General, the way it's organized, Extra Ideas for the Album cover, names.

Personally I would suggest making the deadline shorter (august or september?)

This shouldn't take that long to get done, and if I need to I can help out with organization.
I'm not popular in the brony community (not hated, just not well known) so I won't be very useful in the "publicity" department...

I suppose we could shorten the Deadline...

EQD would be a seriously big jump for this compliation. Anybody who can communicate with them should tell them about FO. It would be a huge help

I'm absolutely terrified of EqD. Sorry. None for me, thanks

By the way, If you are making a new track. Lets try to make this album 'Comfortable' to listen to. If we put out Staticy Music Boxes being played backwards. It'll make the album Terrifying, we can make the album ambient, and dark. But also make something Loungable. Like Early Kaskade

Please no pony on the album cover, unless it is in a minimalistic fashion. Just adding a pony WILL NOT get it into EqD, unless it is traditional art. For this album, all we have to do is get it together, and epic, and very easy to listen to. Song titles like, "Party Soft" will get this album onto EqD. I've been featured multiple times with music and art, so I do somewhat know what they are looking for.

I like the idea of curb appeal on the album cover that'll get more people than just Bronies interested. It needs to be readable, recognizable, and professional. If this album is gonna work, it's gonna have to have VERY high quality standards. Slow chord changes aren't gonna go very far if we're going to please everyone. I guess if you like ambient chords, you can go sit next to a swamp cooler and flick it on high, then low, then back to high. We need to make our album grasp attention and still retain a conservative amount of energy while progressing from one track to the next, unlike a swamp cooler that's gonna be dull after two minutes.

Violin sonatas would be acceptable under these rules, and that's a good thing. If you really want to hear what this album should sound like in the end, look up the Elder Scrolls: Morrowind soundtrack. Of course we'll have electronic stuff because of the nature of this community, but even the electronic soundscapes have to hold interest.

The problem with dark ambiance, is unless it's done in an arcane way, it'll just be spooky and out of place with the other tracks. Mystical is awesome, and I'd love to see some tracks like that in the album. Nothing "Dark" please.

This doesn't have to be in the "Events" as it's not a huge thing. Publicity would be nice and cool, but we're not writing dubstep you guys. :) This album will still work out in the end without an events listing. That might make it hectic with submissions and the like. Of course, more submissions may be a good thing, it also takes on more responsibility for the project. We don't have a well defined leader at the moment either, so there's another point.

Long post. Phew. I'm sure you guys agree with most of what I've pointed out here. ^_^
