we need to have a trailer available! we should get possibly a multi-WIP trailer video ready for the WIP deadline (which I'll still try to gun for, but good luck with that!) and have someone mix that together, and submit it to EQD as News/Music ([email protected])

do we have anyone capable of making a video? If so, should we release the teaser video ON the WIP deadline date? If so, should we turn in WIPs sooner (not required but recommended)?

If by "video" you mean basically a picture slideshow with music playing for each WiP, I suppose I could do something. Not anything of huge quality, but I might be able to help...

How about something like a moving slide show of a waveform coloured in reference to the main theme playing on whichever side (left, right, top), the main theme of the song (e.g. in my case Rarity) on the opposite side of the waveform, and names of the artists kinda sliding in on the bottom of the project? Ofc. this would be different for every artist (place, theme, waveform COLOR [to not make it too complicated]) and it would be keeping the viewers' attention till the very end.

This is rather easy to do in AE if anyone has it.

Flash object, could be done (maybe) with ActionScript 2.0, definitely with AS3.0

All you need for that is AE. ^^
You can do videos just fine in AE, it's not only effects and audio visualizes.
Though, when it comes to editing actual clips on a more professional level investing into Vegas/FCP is probably the better option.

The simplest thing I could throw in together.

The artist name/title would in this case slide in and out with some motion blur from left to right, then to left again (and in other slide, for example, change the placement around). The main theme picture could simply just be blured in or whatever - this, as well as the waveform placement and visuals would be left to the creators him/herself.

Note: red is just a boundary of the video project. :p

I'm so late on this. If you are okay with Tosin Abasi style jazz improv on the clean channel or some really creepy sounding prog/jazz stuff, then I can do that (well, maybe not as good) on my 8 string in a weekend. Then I can find some way of adding lyrics (maybe), piano, and proggy keyboard stuff in one more week and call it complete. I don't think I have any time left (or inspiration) to make a full length progressive metal track, and I can't make a drum beat on my own. I think that something like a Tosin Abasi/Storm Corrosion sounding track would not take too long to write, record, and mix for this album.

How much longer does this last? Or did I already miss the deadline?

Ok, well either way, we kind of need to know who does what and where AKA we need to have the details planned out for the teaser vid if we intend to have one.

Like how many WIP clips will the video have, how long do we want it minute wise, should we make each clip x-seconds long, etc.

This. And, perhaps before that, come up with a name for this project that's a little bit more sugar-coated, and grammatically correct? (Seriously, something bugs me about the name 'Lesser Knowns'... )

I definitely appreciate him doing it, and it seems like it didn't take him that much time.
If we have our WIP's due, I say we cut our favorite 20-30 seconds out of them and give them to someone (If legion says yes, then it will be him) then we'll give them a picture that advertises our "Artist Name" and have it put with our song.

So yeah, I'd love to do this. Those tend to be quick to make depending on the complexity of the effects (what you guys are talking about would be easy). Where would we upload it? Just on the channels of whoever wants to? An official channel?

Beatmatching! That and pitch adjustments, it can be done. I was actually thinking of the teaser video Kill The Noise used for his Kill Kill Kill EP a couple months back. you might still be able to find it on youtube
