Overall, I'm pretty shure there is no other way the album should have turned out!
That said, I can't help but feel disappointed. It's just that I already had my little list of favorite r&r entries that I carried around on my mp3 player, NONE of which made it on the album.
There's very few tracks on there I can enjoy quite like PhillyPu's BronyBug, dito for tracks by Gums of Gabby, Challa, Baq5 and even though the mixing definitely wasn't good enough,
my own stuff.
Seeing as this is a matter of taste, I think there's easily enough material for a compact spin-off album that's excellent in a slightly different way.
So in case anyone wants to band together for a "butthurt and booted" or "rabid and rejected" or something, here are my entries:

@OrionMelody: It was a generally good track, although it was essentially chill for an album centered around speed and style. That was your only real problem.
@Ptepix: At a few parts, it seems like the mixing is kinda off and it's compressed too much. Also, some of the synths have weird timbres compared to everything else. Nice choice of drums, though.
@Freewave: I absolutely loved it up until that weird change at the end. It just went into it awkwardly and it didn't match the rest of the song at all. I understood what you were going for, but it just seemed weird. Everything else was ace, especially the composition.
@liquidfrost100: It definitely seems like your inspiration is Foozogs. Personally, I don't think the drums fit the tone of the leads at all. They just don't go together. I mean, it's fast, but one's really chaotic and has a darker sound while the instruments have an overly-optimistic feel.
@DXSmiley: There are major mixing problems throughout the track. The kick is nearly inaudible a majority of the time. I don't hear much sub. Most of the transitions are really odd. The middle of the track doesn't fit the rest of the song. It just doesn't have much coherency throughout the entire thing.
@Exo: ... This is, like, 50 seconds long. XD
@R-Y-S-E: That laser near the beginning threw me off. Maybe choose a different sample. Near the beginning, you definitely know how to keep it interesting, despite not keeping anything there for long. Of course, that's kind of your problem. The track doesn't change too much throughout its stay. It keeps the same energy level, mainly the same instruments, and sometimes the same melody and tune. You need to branch out when it comes to synths, as utilizing more synths effectively could keep the attention of the listener without as many rises, crashes, and sweeps.
@Blu3Mixed: I could see you were going for something like "Boooring!" You got pretty close. The drums were -really- loud compared to everything else, and caused the entire track to be compressed in a weird manner. For being such a heavy track, the drums are surprisingly punchy as well. There's not much depth to them. The glitching on the voices are nice, though!
@MichauDotCom: The vocals are a bit quite at first, gets better as it goes on, and then they're too loud. The mastering is all kinds of weird and I'm never sure what I'm supposed to be focusing on in the track. The mixing needs a lot of work as it sounds really cluttered. The deep bass you have doesn't really go with the vocals too well, but it's not too off either. It's pretty slow throughout the entire song, as well.
@Tasorrog: Hardstyle, it seems? Awesome. The growl at the beginning shouldn't be completely panned one way or the other. You can do it most of the way, but not all the way. What I assume is supposed to be the hardstyle kick is definitely not hard enough. It needs to be rough, hard, high energy, and completely blows everything out of the water. Yours lacks a lot of the necessary depth. Other than that, no real complaints.
@Record Smash: The hi-hats were way too loud. Way too much high-frequency stuff. It seemed like you never stuck to a single key through the song. There were no real transitions. Everything seemed out of tune. There was no driving force. Mixing and mastering problems. I'd have to say go and study music theory a bit to learn up on what you need to know.
@Jokeblue: Finally, some rock~ The drums were a bit quiet during some of the main parts. Other than that... I have no clue why this didn't get on the album, honestly. Well freakin' done!
@Firenze Storm: It doesn't seem like you really mastered the track. Some parts are much too quiet. The drums were a bit dull. The transition nearly 1:43 was a bit weird, I would add a rise or a crash to that section. You didn't ever have too many instruments at once. It only seemed like two at a time, and it left a lot of the frequencies untouched. It wasn't full enough to give lots of energy. Nice composition on the leads, though.
@3xcel: The change in instruments at 1:14 I feel needs a quiet crash or impact. It sounds empty there. The kick doesn't have any bass at all and just kinda sounds like a click. Also, it seems like your track is pulsing a bit. It has a nice feel, but it's a tad excessive. Make it a bit less noticeable. The transition at 2:13 was really awkward since it seemed like nothing warranted it and it just felt really weird. Your main problem is with the transitions, but going into the main, energetic parts always seems near flawless. There's definitely nice energy in this track. Not bad.
@Muffhunter: I loved the entire first half of the song. As soon as it got to the dubsteppy part, it just seemed really weird to think it was the same track. Your composition was awesome, the chill, 8-bit style sections were incredible, but the wobbles and dubstep quality things just ruined the parts they were in.
Will edit as I go along.

Maybe, but I think the name should sound like that the album is a follow-up and not a crappier version of R&R.
v.lossity wrote:Agreed. Also, maybe we can get the track Lavender Harmony was working on? I was sooooo looking forward to hearing it on R&R after hearing her preview. It was sick.

I think she mentioned something about putting it on an EP or album of her own.
