Err... are you guys aware of the fact that the first and second episodes air on the same day?
'cause I don't see how this is physically possible:

TL;DR Make a song about the first episode of season 3, get the song into me by the day before the release of episode 2.

Cool idea though and i guess you can do both? As for the show samples is someone working on seperating the BGM from show's dialogue and vocals? In the past it CAN be a week or two delay before they would be normally available and that could cause some problems with this project tbf.

Yep, basically you'll have to either remove the BGM from the song yourself or just put up with having the BGM there.

Also just a note guys that if we don't get the minimum 5 submissions, we'll drop the idea of this being an album and you can release the songs as singles (feel free to use the cover art still though). Hopefully it won't come to that!

Oh and ya'll get 10 awesomeness points if you have a sample of gak in your song!

Just saw the season premier! So awesome!

I was however a little disappointed with the new villain, he seemed cool at first, but he didn't really make much of an appearance, and his character wasn't really developed, not like what Discord was. Oh well.

I don't exactly know what I'm going to make yet, I'll have to mull it over.

I'm not gonna lie, i'm going to be very tempted to put gak samples in my song, even if its just a quick cameo XD!

I wanted to make a pop song and use a flugelhorn, but I've since discovered that flugelhorns sound rather tame and are typically used in blues and ballads. However...





That's not a normal flugelhorn so I'm not going to go out of my way to be authentic XD!

BTW has anyone seen the new Native Instruments Session Horns? From what I can tell, it sounds amazing! I wish I had the money for it right now, it would be perfect for my song!

@Xb: Haha, I've been thinking about trying a dubstep song with the 'gak' sample as the breakpoint I've heard a friend of mine using the session horns, they sound awesome, if only I had money. :'(

I didn't sign up for this before, because I didn't know If I'd pass or fail, but I've got something coming along quite nicely. However, It's not a normal piece of music, so It's probably going to be loved for It's originality or completely rejected. Oh well. I'll deal with that once the music is finished. Also, I have no idea what this "gak" thing is supposed to be. I'll do a bit of research into that.

EDIT: Did research into gak. I'm now very glad that I watched it on youtube (with adds removed) 5 hours after it aired.

Loved the premier. Left me feeling fresh. It's like I've seen these ponies grow up over the last couple years, and I have grown with them.
