"Second Chances" - Overlooked Tracks

This is a very "new" project and anyone who can; feel free to promote this!
Re-blog it on tumblr, tell your friends, or a simple YouTube "mood" (message to your subs) is highly appreciated!
It might even give your own track (If you ever happend to enter) some views in the end =)

Ok here's my thoughts on a timeline. I've asked that my team look at it before anything is in stone and we publish the new rules and timeline. I don't think the community wants to wait on us and they want us to get moving hence the dates in question.

Lets have submission dates are for tracks with Youtubes from 7/15 to 8/15. That means anything will have already been out at least a week from the current date or possibly several.

People can enter a track under 1,000 views. If we see that jumps over 1,500 before the first day of voting then its gotten rather good attention and it gets pulled from the contest. That's a win for them and fair to the rest.

People can submit tracks for the next 3 weeks until 9/15 at which point we have a week of voting until 9/21.. We'll need wav's from any of the winners and we'll release the comp on 10/1 or before that if we use bandcamp. We want this to be free so we can post a mediafire link if we run out of free downloads for that month,

The next round will start at 9/22 for tracks from 8/15 to -9/15 and follow the same slightly date pattern with the only change being the change of the month. VOTING should be done anonymously by email. We should also state to people that its ok to vote for yourself ONCE but we need 10 different song votes total minimum to accept your ballot. So vote for yourself is fine but you need to listen and vote for many others and submit a 10 or more songs that you like.

Technically it's after the set dates, but we'll make that tiny exception as this is the first event and we need more songs and attention. So, yeah, email us.

I thought it was supposed to be a MP3, unless it makes it into the comp, in which case, .wav

Yep just send us a link to the youtube video. On your youtube we'd like you to have a free mp3 download linked if anyone wants to download and listen to these on the go. If you make the comp (won't be for a several weeks) we'd like to get a wav from you.

Well the good thing about Second Chances is you may get a wider audience to let you know what you think. If it's not that great you still might not get a good reception but it gives you a chance to be heard and to get feedback. You'll get a chance the first time you release it to see what people think too. If the people who do check you out like it, definitely submit it.

It's not about subs. It's about views on the video you wish to submit.

Ok we are allowing ALL of July now due to low volume of submissions. Submission dates are now for tracks with Youtubes from 7/01 to 8/15.Again please let any friends or others artists know about this as this event only works if it has support and submissions.

Coming to the end date for this (Sep 15). Again check out the rules and if you have a track from 7/01 to 8/15 with less than a thousand views don't be afraid to enter it. I'll be honest we received less entries then we expected so we'll see where we go from here. I'll try to have all the entries on a public playlist and allow voting to see who people's favorites were and see if we have a cd length compilation for this.
