I figured the song needed a bit more of a beginning. :P http://www.mediafire.com/?9mopea876iq8bfd
Also I thought a cool name for it would be "The Legacy of Discord", seeing as thats basically what its becoming! >.<

I like Legacy of Discord as a name.

Awww man, now that we have a new section before mine I'm not sure what to do about listing times and measure numbers. I guess I'm going to make it so that the "time" interval is always relative to the wave file that was posted at the same time. The measure numbers will start with the first entry at "1", but earlier entries will be considered "negative", I guess? And then I'll add an offset to make everything positive once the project's finished.

Well, I should have thought it through better. :)

Sure, I think the pace of new participants coming in seems about right for you (or anyone before you) to re-queue again? I might have to revise that proclamation if that changes, however.

I'm thinking once it hits maybe 4-5min get someone to mix it so it has defined verses, chorus's and bridges etc. and then start a new project.

I was thinking of doing something of the sort. I'm actually really good at transposing rhythms and notes, and I also have a project file with each section of the song separated and marked with its author, tempo, and key.

I'd be glad to make this into more of an actual song and less of a...mishmashed...thing.

So, should we send our pieces separately or continue with the order thing? Also, what about something like a cymbal rise that starts a quick bit before my actual 4 bars? can I do that too?

Ugh did you change the tempo Nyt?

I'm having a hard time getting this to line up right at 120 bpm

Hmm, well, I'd like to keep the order thing, but if everyone else wants to change it I won't argue.

Sure thing. :3

Hmmm.

Looking at it myself, it seems like wu la cha's section starts a tiny bit late (like a 32nd note or so), and then EmpUbermensche's section jumps ahead roughly a 16th note when the beat drops.... And isn't actually at 60 BPM like I thought it was. Seems like it's 70 BPM (or 140 if you're counting double time).

NytMayr's section seems to be about 125 BPM.

Haha, okay guys, new rule: if you change the BPM or do any other rhythmic shenanigans, you must give us numbers to let us know what's going on.

because if we're going to be "remixing it" to be more structured, we might as well pick a new key and tempo and just write one or two sections and post them up as singles, because adding a cymbal rise or something is going to ruin the previous person's stuff, as well as my own if everything is going to be switched up.
