"Lesser Knowns" (Official Event Thread)

I was thinking: In a week or two maybe we should get a collection of the most close to complete WIPs and make a teaser trailer for this, put it up on YouTube, then send it in to EqD. What do you guys think? Would they feature it? (You never really know with EqD).

As long as it's pony related (samples name etc) I think it will be featured.

Oh and has noone made a Skype groupe yet?

What legion said - EqD can be very picky with what they post in regards to music.

Bad news. I just saw the date that the W.I.P is due. I wasn't even planning to start recording until summer because of exams. I am going to be one really stressed out brony. Even then, I might not have Ableton working properly, so the song may only have sound on the left speaker for now. I'm so screwed...

I like it, but I think you should edit the vocals so they fit with the key you're using.

It does match the key of the original track. It might sound slightly off because the synths are layered in chords - my ears say otherwise.

I want to help with the album, but not as one of the lesser knowns. I can mix some tracks, or collab with someone, or help in some other way, but I don't really think I need to be featured on this.

And the advice and critique session is going to be a sync listen, I'm assuming?

A sync listen is where every participant gets in what's basically a big chatroom, then everyone ULs their track or otherwise makes it available, and everyone listens to each track one by one, so everyone hears everyone else's track.

Also, on a whim I decided to remix my already-finished track, but I'm not gonna show it to anyone until the sync-listen. I hope it's better than the original...

Not sure if a sync listen is the best idea. I'm in a different timezone to a lot of people here, I doubt you could get a time that would work for everyone. Soundcloud comments or a forum post would be a better idea.
