Yo, I'm Dave!

I'm not trying to brag (I'm really, really not), but along with Supersaw hoover i've probably got the most experience in terms "OH GOD YES SHOVE THAT KICKDRUM IN ME" sorta music as i've been released on several legit hardcore-techno record labels and have a shitload of releases coming up.

Why do i say this? Well. My Little Remix prides itself on teaching others music techniques and what not so i thought i'd lend a helping hand :D

If you got any questions about kicks/what makes something hard/Want examples on 'Hard' tracks in a certain genre of yours please feel free to PM me! I'll be more than happy to assist you in your productions and i love helping you lot out :D

So yeah! Thats about it :3

Cheers!

Btw, you don't want to make a track about Cupcakes. You want to make a track about me.

I put the writer of that fic in the hospital. Not even kidding... xD Nah, what I really mean is: I was one of the few people sober enough to call and direct an ambulance... <_<

Ok enough fooling around. I think I heard Zovi talk about you a time or two. Problem is for me right now: I know how kickdesign and everything works... I just don't have the time to really sit down and work something. And I currently only have a laptop with a pair of DJ headphones. I want me a pair of KRK's or Behringers or whatever... :(

Can't wait til I finally get the appartment I'm after.

yo guys Dave! is legit and is also one of the judges so you should totally listen to his advice in general etc

...I should update the topic with the judge/organizer list shouldn't I

whoops

also it'd be cool if people would send finished tracks to [email protected]. Yeah, that's a good idea.

I just started on my first ever attempt at dubstep, trance, or whatever genre of electronic music it ends up sounding like (Im not sure where this song is going). If it doesn't suck, I might submit it here.

If you open the project up to dubstep that is all you will ever get.

Speaking of dubstep:

My very own work in progress. This is my first ever attempt at any form of electronic music. If you don't like it, then I'll just make death metal instead.

Yeah both of those aren't really hardcore man. This project really does have a finite scope. Add some gabber or breakbeat drums if you have to or just reconsider the inclusion.

I need to get my butt in gear and get some stuff ready I haven't done a thing yet....

Any chance we can get a soundcloud group for this project to hear what's been submitted so far and what's working and what's not?

I beg to differ:

Lol jk but I know what you mean. Hardcore has this certain feel to it that dubstep just can't emulate. Like this song:

Welllll that is definitely dubstep centered (god no more RDash Louder samples you're killing me) :( and if it's like typical dubstep (and it sounds like it) that's 140 w a half step making it sound like it 70 bpm beats. We need like 160+ bpm beats for this project and breakbeats or gabber (hardstyle). You can switch this around and still fit it but currently you're going the wrong directyion.

I love him more for the comedic effect, but he actually can get some great stuf going before he bitcrushes his master channel with the weight of a fully grown American.
