MLR Annual Report (Draft Update)

Postby GhostXb » 02 Oct 2012 14:58

I have to design an Annual report for my publishing class. I already talked to my instructor about doing one for this site and the recent charity albums it has done. I think it will be a lot of fun to do. I was just wondering what the rest of the community thought?

I have to display some numbers and graphical illustrations. Fortunately, there are lots of great numbers to pull from the three charity albums we have done. There are also some great photos of what the charity money has been going towards. I was wondering if there are any other additional resources anyone can provide. Should I include Balloon Party? Are there any other Brony charity projects I should mention?

I have to design a four page booklet. That includes front and back cover, and 6 faces of content. I will likely pull the charity album artwork to display for each album, maybe 1 to 2 pages for each album (which fits into 6 pages) unless I decide to include additional content. Other then the album artwork, and maybe some of the photos, the rest of the visual elements needs to be designed by me (in order to make it a more effective portfolio piece).

Anyways, I thought I would just bring that forward. When I'm finished it I can post some pictures of it, (maybe even a video of me flipping through it). Maybe the annual report can have some promotional value to this site? I don't know. Thoughts?

UPDATE

Ok so I'm done the draft of the annual report. I'm actually done the assignment, but I may continue to work on it, and add additional content for a formal 2012 annual report for the new years. Depends on how my work load looks for December. I have no classes for most of December as this semester comes to an end, so that is a bonus.

Information here is accurate as of 10/17/2012. Let me know if there is any inaccurate information regarding the information.

If you took the time to type out four blocks of text to bring this forward to us, then I can already tell that you're passionate about the subject. Go for it! :)

I love this idea!

You could also look at stuff like:
-Monthly output of music (total and genre breakdown)
-Number of new users each month (looking at trends, etc.)
-Number of posts per day
-etc.

I'm sure Makkon would be the best guy to speak to about this. Chuck him a PM.

This looks really interesting, you should definitely go through with it. I like looking at statistics, and I like My Little Remix, so why not have them both?
I like to think I'm well-rounded because I'm not really good at anything.

Wow, that looks very stylish. Maybe you should have a short section about what's happening next year?
