Okay due to lack of interest, I'm cancelling this. Sorry guys, if I have to write half the tracks for this its not a contest album.

Yeah, I changed my mind. If I am going to write half an album of tracks then I should just release an album. The point of a contest album is to raise awareness and bring a community together. Its supposed to get a community of people involved and this album is failing on all fronts. As much as I like the idea for this album, it should be made for the right reasons. To release a <i>community</i> album just because I want it done is the wrong reason. The community has to want it enough, and apparently ours doesn't.

Maybe another time? I figure that there has been plenty of events going on for our small community here in MLR. Also, maybe advertise more. Get the world out, Equestria daily is good for that. A good number of people go there

Equestria Daily does not generate interest or make posts for upcoming albums to signal boost. They do that for Remix Wars, Bronies For Good, and Balloon PArty (entire community) and that's about it. If there's not enough people taking part and meeting the deadline then its time to call it a day, make one last push, or he can release it as a personal collabs album or EP instead of a community one. He's right in that if people don't support it and he's having to do all the work then its just not going to work. People need to come with the expectation that half of these event albums generally fail so you actively support them or you don't. :(
