Okay Guys, first of all, what's the point of this:
Just having fun, get to know other artists that are interested in the same type of sounds for future collabs etc, and maybe just growing a bit as an artist. This album will be more like what Jungle Vines and Back to bassics was, but they're not related to this album.
Now, What are we looking for:
As the Title says, It's a Deep Dubstep compilation, not Modern Dubstep better known as "Brostep".
(To avoid problems, there's nothing bad with modern dubstep, I'm a big fan myself, but the point here is to explore new sounds.)
Sounds you can find on either the old school scene (Pre-2009), and that later on, can also be heard on newer artists, labels and such. (Fat Kid On Fire is a good example)
Ambiental sounds, deep strong basslines, and a hidden meaning to it.
We're searching for underground sounds!
"Riddim"
Recently, or not so recently, for those who listen to stuff from the underground modern dubstep scene, you may have noticed this, new type of /Wonky/ kind of bassline, which sounds in certain why simple, but a lot of artists have taken it to a new level (Such as Airvalue, Dubloadz and more). This whole album is experimental, So if you're going to try Riddim, Go for it mang.
We'll have as Deadline November 20th, 2013
So you'll have quite some time to make something good, remember to not rush it, and put a lot of effort into it!
If you're looking forward Pre-release Feedback and such, contact either me or the other judge The Invisible Ocular on skype.
My skype: sebas.lopez.09 (You're free to ask anything)
Ocular's skype: theocularinvisible (But he's pretty #famous around here, so you probably already have him)
Never have tried Old school/Deep/Riddim Dubstep?, You can try it now.
If you really have no idea where to start, Listen to artist such as:
Burial, Kode 9, Airvalue, Enigma Dubz, Emalkay, Badklaat, BloodThinnerz, Blankface, Bukez Finezt, Requake, 50 Carrot, 6Blocc, Le Lion, and a hundred more.
Channels you should check out:
-Duploc Promotions
-The Dubstep Dealer
-Dank 'N' Dirty Dubz
And there was already a compilation called Sounds of Rotterdamned (not brony related) where it shows perfectly what we are searching for.
But remember to go for an original sound! ;)
WHERE DO I SUBMIT?
Well, we would love to be professional but for now, you can either send it over to my skype, ocular's skype or to [email protected] , The accepted tracks will appear on the final release, which will be a free release on bandcamp (No one's winning money out of this ;P).
Please make it a 16bit/32bit .Wav
Good luck! Looking forward to hear whatever you have to offer!
