Hmm, this sounds promising, but a few questions:

1. You say this is just a trial; how long do you plan on trialing it before you make a decision on whether or not it'll become a permanent fixture on the site?
2. Is there any discussion with other PVL-affiliated stations about a similar practice?
3. How do you plan on airing the album/EP? Will you just add the songs to the music rotation and let them play randomly with all the other songs, or will you play its full length?
4. How much profanity counts as tasteful? PG-13, PG, etc.

Regardless, I've always liked the idea of full set promotions in the fandom and this looks like a step in a good direction. I'll make sure to bookmark this topic.

1. I'm not sure, this isn't a challenge, competition or an event. I'll leave it up to a moderator to decide
2. We don't have our own Youtube Channel.... yet

1. This is a trial to see if it is used. If we get little to no submissions after a month, we'll scrap it.
2. At this stage, there is no discussion of this thing being PVL-wide. This is a Fillydelphia Radio project only
3. The album will have it's own place on our website, with request links and buy links. They will also be put into standard rotation, and pushed to all our DJs. If this picks up, we will probably look at creating a show specifically to highlight one album (i.e a Pick of the Week)
4. We'll go up to PG-13. You know you're swearing too much if you are cussing every 10 seconds XD

So lets say I'm planning on having a track about cloppers on my album and it has a sample of a person saying "Pony vagina" and other similarly distasteful things. I think it's obvious that track wouldn't be promoted, but what about the rest of the album? Can it still be promoted if that one track is not included in the actual promoteing and tagged with [Explicit] or something along those lines on the album?

This is why we have moderation :D

I will be pretty upfront, we don't have lot against clop/explicit content, in fact we used to have a designated show about that kind of stuff (see the FillyCast), I can just see things getting out of hand quickly if we allow it. If I were to moderate it, and the album was acceptable music-wise, I'd probably promote it, and not have that specific track on the station.

What would be even smarter, is to have a clean version to give us to play as well (like cut the word vagina in half, reverse both halves, or something similar) :D

This looks like a pretty cool site, and I want to submit some of my music to it. However, I have a question first. I'm planning on releasing an EP soon, but it's not a pony EP. Your music submission terms and conditions say that I just have to be a brony artist to submit music. What I'm wondering is if I can submit songs that aren't pony related, as long as I'm a brony artist.

It doesn't help that there's no artist directory to their database (i've submitted plenty of times before and seen my music there in the past). Further down i can see known artists sci+jackleapp currently who have profiles and music there but cannot "browse" until they play somebody and pull up a profile. Otherwise it has some good website programming build in but is not really fully functional yet.

Also, on a side note, if you are submitting, BandCamp releases get their OWN PAGE PER RELEASE, as well as fast-track uploads (it's quicker to upload a BandCamp release than it is to download each SoundCloud/Youtube track individually)

Ahhh ok. I thought they were a part of a database i just wasn't able to find yet. I feel a little better now that i know there's a reason why I'm (and plenty of other musicians are likely missing). Site looks really good so far even if its not fully functional yet.

Considering our entire library was wiped during the last bout of attacks on our site, including backups on other servers, we're currently re-adding each artist's BandCamp one at a time, then filling it out with the loose songs from YouTube, Soundcloud, etc etc.
