Very Important Social Contract

Postby Circuitfry » 09 Aug 2013 09:38

This is a forum post hello hi what's up??? This topic is for the people who want to ask musicians for help.

Okay, let's say someone wants you to help. What are the Do/Don'ts when bringing a musician on board for a project?

Do: give them clear deadlines and make sure they're on track

Don't: tell them to do something and not remind them (unless you have been treated well by them before)

Do: make sure that you're on track too

Don't: play vidja and watch anime all day.

Do: maintain regular communication, have semi regular meetings on the subject

Don't: be mute.

Don't be an ass. That goes for both parties.

Also make sure that your project is easy to understand and has a clear idea of what's going to happen and how it's going to go down. Don't half-ass your request with only a miniscule amount of information presented.
