Lately Bass + Bitcrusher = Win. :D

Speaking of basses: I've recently made some great and unique sounding electro basses using ROM based synths from the 90s. A filtered "analog" wave (saw, square) plus a complex spectral wave (VS, FM etc.) plus distortion / overdrive (all internal effects). If you put an envelope on the spectral wave you can add some more character to it.

So if I get this bakery job I'm gonna start saving up for an Audio and Midi interface and either a good polysynth or a bass station 2.

Or just save for longer and get both. Idk a good poly synth would probably be worth getting.

What IS certain is that I'm looking at Focusrite for the interfaces and that I really need a bigger desk.

Man, you guys with your fancy shit.
I have a Yamaha SY22 and not much more to my name.
I love it to death though. It was my dad's and he gave it to me at Christmas because he felt bad that our family can't afford many presents any more.

The bassline is the Moog Little Phatty, you can't really tell but it was shaking the room (poor camera mic..).

I love my MLP!

The Little Phatty looks pretty sweet! But I'm thinking that I'll go for a good Polyphonic synth as my next investment. Something like a Roland Ghia even though that's not the best on the market.

Depending on how much you wanna spend... I'd go for the DSI Mopho X4 it's about the same price as the Little Phatty new, and is awesome, and because it's DSI you know it's going to last... unlike the newer Roland stuff

Moog did make the 'Moog Little Phatty', Roland made the 'GAIA' which you must of missed a few posts above.

The GAIA is a completely different kind of synth from the moog, a comparison between the two would be fairly pointless.

Yeah I mentioned the GAIA as an example of a polyphonic synth.

I've seen a couple positive reviews of it. Is it mono or poly?

The x4 is 4 voice poly
and it's definitely a good synth I've played one personally and I'm considering getting one myself

Awesome. I'll start putting some cash towards it once I get a job. Also an audio/midi interface. I'm gonna need those.

well that's for sure...
On a side note I'm probably gonna go mostly for rack mount synths... and one synth that has a keyboard, most likely the Minimoog Voyager XL eventually, but first that 32 Channel mixer :3
