New Music Kickstarter: Heroes of Video Game Music

We all love music, and (for most of us) we all love video games.

Over the years, video game music has evolved, from small bit chiptunes into epic orchestral productions, and practically every genre.

Sadly, game composers generally don't get to bathe in the success of the game. Often their names are unknown, yet they've created some of the most memorable melodies in music that we can identify within a few seconds.

A new kickstarter has been launched aiming to create a large collaboration album featuring 20+ of your unknown favorite musicians, in 5.1 audio.

This looks so epic. On the list of artists they're putting on the list, one of the games is Neverwinter Nights. Man, I grew up playing that game, not very seriously, but just for fun. I loved that game. It was so much fun. If only I had money...

The only artist I know out of those is Alex Brandon - I love the stuff he did for Tyrian, to the point of having some tracks in my MP3 player. I checked out some of the other artists though, they're good. Liked the Drag Racing song.
