Infinite Jukebox

Okay my friend just showed me this and it's the coolest thing ever

http://labs.echonest.com/Uploader/index.html?trid=TRZFVHE13364BC956E

It's basically an app that loops your song infinitely by analyzing where the beats in the song sound similar, like a chorus or something, it connects them in the diagram, and it'll randomly choose whether or not to jump across a connection. So far it's been nearly perfect, I've tried it on Bass Rocket, Tombstone's remix of Discord, and a few other songs and it's been super amazing. The link is to what i'm listening to right now, which is Want You Gone from Portal 2.
A few things to note
-It stops playing if you minimize the window or switch to a new tab (they explain why in the FAQ) but you can go to other windows as long as you leave it open
-You can tweak the song, so it'll be more or less likely to jump across a connection, you can delete certain connections if they happen to sound bad
-My friend tells me trance doesn't work very well, for a variety of reasons
-It only works in Chrome and Safari
What do you all think?

Oh and they have a cool logo too

Now this...

this...

is...

AWESOME

Wow, now I can listen to the same song for hours up hours on end, and it'll never end, lol :P

There are slight flaws and all, but Break Ya Neck (James Egbert Remix) by Busta Rhymes plays quite well.

Thanks for sharing! Sounds really cool.

Although it looks like it only works in Google Chrome and Safari.

Well, both are pretty good browsers so if you want to use it consider getting one of those ^_^

Looks pretty good so far for me although I don't listen to much trance :P

- Start playing along to a song with an instrument.
- "This is so awesome, it forces you to adapt your playing on the fly!"
- Hardest/best part of the song comes on. Aww yeah.
- Enjoying the extra length the looping provides.
- Feeling like a really cool guy.
- Still looping the same part
- Getting tired.
- Still looping the same part
- Oh wow it just keeps going.
- Still looping the same part
- I think this thing is broken
- Still looping the same part
- Must continue playing for my pride
- Still looping the same part
- Oh my god please stop
- Still looping the same part
- Please I beg of you
- Still looping the same part
- Only the dead can know peace from this looping.
- Song finally reaches the end
- Jesus christ the pain

...More like "Infinite Trollbox"

I've heard good things about Chrome and I've been meaning to give it a try anyway so this is a good chance.

But yeah this thing it really cool. I really appreciate that you can tweak the parameters for looping... gives it more legitimate use instead of being a fun novelty, at least for me. Also lets you kind of avoid having the same section looped over and over.

It's also been a fun way to try out new music by stalking the "Recent" list of songs that people have played..

Yeah I like it a lot. Thanks again for posting about it.

Very nice. Yeah with Want You Gone, it was so seamless and perfect. I'm gonna test it with a song of mine. Also no surprise, one of the songs already uploaded is Gangnam Style >_>. Not as smooth but after knowing its structure, yeah no surprise its easy to pick out anything that doesn't seem right.

Anyway, many thanks for the share, bro!
