Be-A-Hipster Thread

Sports, politics, movies, videogames, questionable hobbies, photos from your family vacation, etc. Talk about stuff that isn't ponies or music. But do try to stay on topic and respectful of alternate opinions.

Be-A-Hipster Thread

Simple, just post something you're into that won't blow up for at least another year or so.
Limit to about 2 or 3 videos to prevent lag.
GOGOGO

Deru

Yeah. Look into him, there are a shittone of gems by this guy. He's already starting to get attention; when I found that video it had only 500 views for a few months. *Whips hair* You'd also like Soulik, Next Door and Only the Circle... maybe.

satanicpornocultshop

In fact, they're so underground, I can't find a decent song by them on Youtube. I love 'Zap Meu-Meu', 'Jaco', and 'Wa Bichimore? No, No, Bi Watchmore'.

Milieu

'Sieve', 'Inline Track' and 'Playground Memories' are some of my preferences.
Warning: May cause rapid chest hair growth.

Goreshit. He's an absolutely amazing artist, his music is getting more and more popular. He does all sorts! Ranging from Speedcore, Dubstep to Acoustic guitar

Have my favourite track from him

Deru and Goreshit are my favourites from here so far.

My turn...

The guitarist of The Mars Volta's side/solo project thing.
The album is insane.
But you probably won't like it ;)

I love this so much, thanks to sci for showing this guy's work to me...
nagz - shame.of.moquiwa

Julian Plenti, lead singer of Interpol (who I can't say I know much of), this is the finest of his solow work as Julian Plenti. Reminds me of sleeping on a plane. Song is beautiful.

That's about as hipster as it gets for me...

Oh wait, these guys were huge in my town a few years ago, I have no idea where they are now, but they don't have many views...
Something, something, ponies.
Something, something, friendship.

Additionally, does that mean if three quarters of the internet knows about hipsters then being a hipster isn't hip anymore?

I failed out of hip calculus. I can't even remember if it's hip to be cool or if it's cool to be hip.

He seems to experiment mainly with industrial and post rock type things

It's pretty much all creative and chill

I'm not sure if this will ever really 'blow up,' but if it does I can definitely confess to liking it before it was "cool."

... though if you ask me, it's "cool" now. ;)

The guy's name is Dogg Master, and he is absolutely brilliant with talk boxes, synth basses, and guitar riffs. In other words? Solid, solid, electrofunk.

Though, as you can see, it's too late for me; I'm already turning into a huge hipster...

Haha I'm posting here right now so I remember to do it again later but I have a wicked long list of songs that are fairly obscure. You can't even find them all on YouTube. I'll post it later though for you pony hipsters...
