I started my youtube channel FireOfFriendship (http://www.youtube.com/user/FireOfFriendship)
immediately after I began producing and posting music with little idea of what I was doing. Now in retrospect, i feel that I should have not only chosen a better name, but one not strictly pony related either, as I only feel like making pony music about 98% of the time as opposed to 100%.
I'm looking for a fresh start and reintroduction to the scene, but the channel linked to above has already amassed 600+ subscribers and I know that it's inevitable not all of them will transfer over.
If I decide to go through with the big switcharoo, my plan to get the highest number of subscribers transferred over goes as follows:
1) Have at least one track on my *new* channel before posting a video on the *old* channel telling people to transfer over.
2) Make giant screen filling annotations on all of my old videos pointing to my new channel
3) Start posting VIP remixes/remasters of my old tracks on my new channel as a greater incentive to click the aforementioned screen filling annotations.
If anypony has any other tips or encouragement to give me, or if you'd like to dissuade me from doing this entirely, I'd really like to hear it.
Changing channels is a scary thing :C
