I just bought NI Damage, and Abby Road 70s drummer. Comes this monday. Considering that percussion is my weakest skill, I seem to love doing it a lot.

And in that light, I'm in the mood for some Akira Yamaoka inspired tracks.

Anamanaguchi.

Anyone who is looking to try chiptunes, listen to that man's music. (If you saw Ponies Anthology 2, that was one of his songs used in the intro).

I've heard of him before. Never really liked his music. His music was never as clear and crisp as alot of Chiptune.

I owe a crapload to Mr.Yamaoka, my music is clearly inspired by his. Seriously.

Am I the only one who likes to make a pattern/loop, tune it JUST RIGHT, export it to .wav, normalize/compress it, and then use it on the playlist for their final product? Note that I haven't done this before, but I've just started doing this for my 'coming-soon' track for A State of Brony. And it works absolute miracles for mastering, man.

Might try that, since my new music is primarily bass.

I just find it so much easier to export it to 32-bit floating point .wav to cut out clipping issues and then slap a PEQ2 or two into the mixer to cut/boost frequencies without having to worry about a synth. Plus it saves a lot of CPU for synth-heavy productions.

Haha, really? Why's that? Also, bear in mind, I might sound like I know what I'm talking about, but I don't know that much. My first track, which I made more than a year ago on FLS8 when I was bored, was a huge hit, and I JUST started back up, about a month ago lol. But man did I get bit by that music bug. It's all I want to do now. Freaking ponies. Driving me to creativity.

Attempting to use multiband compressors ignites within me the rage of 10,000 dying suns on the edge of the universe. I really should just let someone else master my songs before I toss my computer out the window in a fit.
