Ditto, but there will be other cons. I have a feeling this won't be the last Bronycon. Everypony will be able to go at some point.

Anyway, great pics, Navy.

If the Con truly was as awesome as Chain Algorithm and others described in Facebook, I really should start collecting some cash for the trip next year...

I didn't even want to go this time. I knew almost no one going, and none of it really looked worth it. Plus, I was afraid my complete and utter lack of social skills wouldn't get the best of me.

But I'm seriously considering going next January or whenever it is.

I had a really weird time but it was awesome in a rather special way...

I've felt like such an outsider yet I love you guys and always wanted to do something for what seems to be this tightknit troupe of bronymusicians- and I was on AV staff- and Rachel, who had the whole con's AV to organize, remembered January and did not want to have anything to do with Bronypalooza. I'm sure it looked like a trainwreck approaching at high speed, even more when we found out that our PA was apparently not what Rachel ordered, but a pile of downgraded crap that was cheaper (at least I think that's what happened- someone intercepted the purchase orders and changed everything to be a lot cheaper)

So I was setting up a space the size of Anthrocon's main hall with one tenth the PA, and gathering everypony together (along with Deth) to organize Bronypalooza, knowing I had to mix every act on the fly from a desk hundreds of feet from the stage with which I couldn't communicate. I told you all it was going to be awesome and you would be taken care of and sound right.

Thank you so much for believing me (with very little reason to, given the January trainwreck and the pitiful gear we'd got together) and kicking ASS up there on stage! You were all totally amazing, all worked together and got it done! There was no time for any sort of soundcheck or anything- it was incredible- you all just galloped to the stage and blew the top off the joint from note one!

I panicked a lil' when all the lights went out and I had to mix every one of you (including EDM- I had a bass, treble and sweepable mid going at all times keeping all the speakers cranking full-range and in balance) in THE DARK but one of my fellow AV staffponies held a flashlight for me. Another ran interference when two day hires for the documentary crew tried to interrupt to get a feed like Everfree Radio had, and didn't like the output of the crappy tiny Behringer board, and started a shoving match... it was wild out there at the board, I bet it was nuts up at the stage too :)

We did it! Ponystock 2012! :D

ok, so I tend to just...not take pictures of stuff.
I can't help it. it's just not my nature.

so...I did not get any where near as many pictures as I wanted.

but I did get some video I'd like to share:

first, some firetrucks that showed up at our hotel for some reason I can't remember:
http://scibot9000.tumblr.com/post/26189 ... hotels-and

a group of brony musicians before we completely invaded that one japanese resturant:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odrzPFKiHrU

some dancing:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dTNdDRcYxA
(see description)

after the closing ceremonies, a sizable crowd watched some episodes of MLP on that huge truck. Including The Last Roundup.
this was their reaction to Derpy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBQVDHS77UI

this was their reaction to AJ breaking her pinkie promise:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIXgkj7a_PM

...and an aside from those two:
that (watching episodes) is where I spent a few hours trying to pull myself together enough to eat something.

I was secretly kind of sickly the entire time, and missed the icecream social as a side effect. that bummed me out a good bit. :\

but overall it was amazing. I'm still kind of overwhelmed with everything that happened.

sosososo here are pictures from the meetup page:
http://www.meetup.com/BronyCon/photos/9475122/135572142/

i did take pictures, but they were mostly of my face + other people, so that's really no fun.

first day was my working day, but it was still pretty fun! i did manage to catch a bit of "musicians in the morning" before my shift started, so it was pretty cool! i spent most of my first shift patrolling the entrance, which was kinda wack. best part of working was the autograph table, because of all the wisecracks the staff made. there was melee in the gopher hole for all the ones without something to do, and that was pretty okay!

second day was my free day, so i spent all my birthday money managed to see a few panels with friends (and shadowbolts.) pony parliament was pretty entertaining. a cosplayer dressed as spike tried to pin the blame on twilight sparkle for the fire, but the audience deemed spike as the cause. his punishment was to write apology letters for everyone at bronycon (who provided him with an email.) i also had my "friendship is magic, bitch" costume-sign-thing on for most of the day. i've never been called a bitch so many times in a single day since middle school. (at least this time it was all in good fun.)

i really regret not being able to meet more folks from mlr though. :(

Aw- you are thankin' me enough. And somepony found and thanked me, and I think Tarby emailed just to thank me...

...you do realize that I have jumped in and run sound for six hours straight at a furry con when there was a live band and a rap act about to go on, and the con sound guy was nowhere to be found and never did show- and didn't even get a hug or a word of thanks for that one? (was 2011)

I just LOVE you guys- you are already giving me more support and appreciation than I have ever seen running live sound for a con, and I will return to support you guys again and with better gear even if I gotta BUY some of it and bring it.

And anytime any of you want a lil' electric guitar or bass or a rock vocal in my range you need only ask- probably my WoodenToaster stuff and 'Wing Power' cover are the best examples of what I do tracking and mix-wise. It's killin' me that I didn't meet Glaze because we collaborated on a thing on OhmStudio and it was huge fun...

Social skills - me too. Actually I'm secretly hoping that American atmosphere would help me overcome the combination of being Finnish and far from outgoing let alone not quite old enough to legally get drunk  .

Also, friggin' expensive and complicated.

The next one is in January!? Not going to get there. Maybe somewhere in 2013-2014...
It kinda feels sad because I feel like I'm missing the "golden age" of the fandom. Who knows how things will be then.
