Bronycon is, as of this writing, just four days from now, so we can use this post to talk about the con and what if you are going, what are your plans for it.

This post is meant to be different form the "Bronycon predictions" in that it's what you are planning to do or why you are going and the like.

Personally, for now, i'm planning on going by on friday to learn my way around and pick up my badge. I don't want to wait in line on Saturday :[

I don't like a lot of noise, or large crowds, or too much attention. You might not see me much there. But I'll be there.

I'm hoping to at least see Faust in person (that has always been my main reason for going). If i can do that (and even talk to her in person) i would be completely satisfied.

What I forgot to mention from the TMI thread is the fursuit I made out of my shaved back hair, which I dyed orange to dress up as applejack.

I felt the same way. I've wanted to meet people within the community, but I've been apprehensive because...well...I've seen, read, and heard how some bronies act and I wasn't sure if I wanted to be around all that.
But I ultimately said buck it and decided to go. If I hate it I just won't go to any other stuff like this.

I've survived other con's before, but they were in my home town so I could just go home if they sucked.

it'll be my first con ever, on the other side of the country, and I'm all but going alone.

so I'm both terrified and excited.

what I'm hoping to accomplish:
1. MEET EVERYONE ON MY "PEOPLE TO MEET" LIST
2. go to anything labeled "music"
3. don't be an awkward mess

pretty much.

(though the third one is pretty much inevitable oh well)

seeing de lancie or faust and whatever else is just a bonus.

So, this will be my first Bronycon, but not my first con.

However, I will be going with Sci! I'll be the awkward guy that draws all the attention, no worries XD.

Okay, what do I want to do?
1. Meet some of the famous attendees.
2. Hang with some of the brony music producers.
3. Mingle with fellow attendees at the hotel.
4. Just have a great time.
5. Don't get shanked

off-shift, i hope to:
1. meet a whole bunch of people from mlr (and hopefully not be creepy about it)
2. get autographs from a whole bunch of people from mlr
3. pictures? maybe? ehhhhh

I hope we get some better footage on youtubes then video cameras in the 20th row and distorted audio in the afterparties (please). Looking forward to that music panel making its way back to us.

I hope you have fun guys. I'm hoping it's not like the Gala (hey a whole episode dedicated to high expectations and crushing returns) at all. Ultimately just be cool to each other and keep in mind that the "superstars" of our community often seems to have ego issues or avoid the attention but hopefully they'll be in their element and appreciate what their music does for us. Just don't come with pre-set expectations. Ultimately realize that most of us are socially or physically akward in some ways and that we should shrug that off and just have fun w/ the people around us as we'll all be in our environment. Hope it's awesome!

I want to go to bronycon really bad. Shame that I can't though.

If I could, I would:
-Try to meet some of the brony music producers out there
-Try and meet Faust
-See if I can meet the person who does http://askfluttershyandpinkiepie.tumblr.com/
-Just mill around. I'm pretty socially awkward in large crowds. I'm so paranoid that if I try to talk to somebody they're going to stare at me disapprovingly and walk away, or something awkward is going to happen.
-Bring money and change my entire wardrobe to pony
-Hug the voice actor for Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy
-Buy more pony stuff. I don't want to leave with money. Only pony merchandise.

Things that I would be paranoid about:
-Seeing a r34 pony booth. I don't like that stuff, but I can tolerate people who do. But it really irks me to see irl r34 stuff. Like that one plushy. That one really got me (disappointed/angry/sad?). Although I don't think that a r34 pony booth would be allowed at bronycon. I would still worry though.
-Embarrassing myself on stage. I never get picked to go on stage for anything, but I'd be paranoid that I would get picked only to make an idiot of myself. Not in a good way either.
-Getting sick before I have a chance to enter the con, but after I arrive at the hotel.

I wouldn't worry too much about possible r34 stuff. This is a well organized convention with security, professional camera crews, etc.

Plus, anything r34 related would be illegal with minors in attendance, which is the case, so I definitely wouldn't expect any sanctioned, "adult material," booths.

Can't say from experience though, as this will be my first convention.

If anyone did see me today, I probably looked like a lost puppy. I came up by myself with plans to meet people here.

But, yes, I was definitely planning on going to Musicians in the Morning and the Musicians Workshop.

I was planning on picking my badge up today, but it got too late and my sister wanted me and my mom to hang out together with her. In the end it was essentially going out alone. Now i have to wake up super early to go pick up and hope the line is short enough.
