Stepmania: Attempting to step harder songs

Update: Alright! Expert mode has been finished 100%. Here's the link to the completed file: http://www.mediafire.com/?qfy3io1b3fkf06m Over the next day or two, I'm going to make the Easy, Medium, and Hard modes for everyone else. Also, if anyone does GFX, would you help out a fella and make something for this? <3

Edit: Well, I just realized something: I have no idea how to make files that play well on a pad. Never used a pad before. If I do go ahead and make the other difficulties, they'll probably suck. Badly. So unless you guys really want them, I'm not sure if I should do them...

Also, got my file reviewed by a veteran player. While it didn't bomb, it wasn't all that good either. I'm going to keep on making more though. Takes practice to get better after all.

That looks INSANE! You're very good at Stepmania. I usually play at the hard level, but I've mostly seen people who play Stepmania casually playing on medium.

My legs would fall off if I ever tried to do that padded, definitely keyboard only. You do make some crazy stuff happen, have you ever made modded courses? I've been procrastination on an omnipony course of my own actually (steps done and such). I'll definitely try out any song you give out.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that my harder difficulties are going to be keyboard only. I will make songs that are able to be done on the pad later, so for anyone who wants more songs and likes what I'm making, just wait a bit. ;)

As a Pump It Up player, this looks super awkward to me. D: I'd still love to give it a shot on a pad, though.

Don't forget to patch them properly for r21 as well!!!

Is there something specific I need to do? I'll check around the forums there and ask my pal Kingdaro about it. I know he's got a pack on there.

Also, on a slightly unrelated note, if anyone wants to play online with me, I've got a lot of pony packs, namely My Little Brony, Super Ponybeat, Spotlight Minipack - My Little Pony, MLP Season 1 Pack, and the rest of Kingdaro's assorted songs, half of which are pony related. I'll play with any skill level, so don't worry if you've just started. And if anyone has more packs, or knows of good individual files, just let me know. Always looking to expand my collection. :mrgreen:

I've lost my link to the .ogg lenght patcher but there is a filesize limit, a time limit that has to be cheated past using the patcher and if I'm not mistaken Stepmania only needs the .dwi file and not the .sm file for the simchart. But yeah, r21 forums should have more information on how to do it than me because it was a long time ago that I played pad. ;_;

Alright, well I'm nearing completion on the song. I'm planning to move onto Twilight's Sonata (d&b boss fight style) - Derpy Hooves (WwTp) [Remixed by The Marking Dude], but there are a couple parts that are a bit unnecessary, and I'm waiting on my friend to teach me how to cut songs. So does anyone have any suggestions in the meantime? I'd like either a fast song, or one with a lot of layers. Also, I'm more into instrumental music, but if it's a good vocal song I'll step that. Still gonna do the other difficulties, but since I already have the timing down, it'll just be a matter of replacing and removing arrows.

Soundcloud for the song I'm planning on doing.
