Most unique way you have ever made music.

Most unique way you have ever made music.

This isn't me, but I saw this and thought "I wish I could try this!"
Unfortunately I don't have that kind of knowledge or resources.

Although, I have some spoons that were from Newfoundland!

So what is the most unique way you have ever made music?

My feet a keyboard and a guitar didn't sound too good but then again I was 13 and wasn't the best at music then

I've got a fan next to my computer, and one day by accident, I realized my guitar pickup would play the Hz frequency the fan was oscillating at. Pretty much sounded like a Saw wave and an ambient pad combined.

Naturally, this completely ruined the whole day of composition for me, as I hooked up the external pickup next to the fan and started playing around with various effects, gates, and distortion from my bass pedal.

You are the hero My Little Remix deserves, not the one it needs.
So we’ll hunt you. Because you can take it. Because you’re not our hero.
You’re a silent guardian of music, a watchful protector of songs.

I once composed a whole song using just "squealies" on guitar. I should record it.

Haha I wish I was more unique now :3
One time though, I sang horrible while playing random chords on a piano with a horrible beat in the back ground and recorded it. Then went back and listened to the words, wrote them out, and found that I had written awesome lyrics xD never went back to that song though, I should do that some time.

I made two "albums" based off shredding well known classic albums like Abbey Road, Ok Computer, and A Kind of Blue (just to name a few) into 1 second segments, randomly re-assembling the pieces, and then shrinking that whole shredded album into a 4 min track. Named the album with these tracks as is "Shred Your Records" and the other with the tracks with added distortion, reverb, and other effects "Blow your Speakers" (which was a better listen TBH)

Playlist if anyone interested.

Probably kind of silly but I liked the idea. Certainly not sillier than Googlecore (the shortest-lived dumbest music genre ever) which is where i got my start. :)

That's pretty cool, sounds like a great idea (upload the results if you ever get a chance). One of Nurse With Wound's most famous albums (Soliloquy for Lilith) was an accidental result of bad wiring in a studio and moving his hands over what his guitar pickup was accidentally picking up. It's since become a Drone classic.

I remember when I couldn't find a guitar pick, and I tried playing with a coin, and when I did a pick slide on the higher strings (High e, B, and G strings) and it made a pretty awesome seagull-like effect. Mixed with some delay and flanger, pretty trippy.

http://soundcloud.com/dashssunglasses/enjoy-the-troll

was made using this

At least the bass and the synth is made from this. Then I added tonnes of effects and breakbeats. It's a troll entry but still, the most creative I've been.

Oh yeah that sound is a piece of plastic that got stuck in our computer fan. :3
