Hello Everypony! My names Guy, I usually go by the name WoodyBlues or woody7527 here on the interweb. I live in (the oddly hot and sunny at the moment) England and am currently in my last year of Collage. I'm really new to the music making scene, I've been dabbling in FL Studio and some VST's for about a month and finally want to sit down and produce a song.

I have (very) basic knowledge of music theory and I've been playing the Piano, Guitar and Harp on and off for a couple or years.

I'm hoping to have a great time creating, and in some cases destroying, wonderful music with you guys!

And before i'm done, Princess Luna is Best Pony!

Hello everypony!

I call myself Hangin' From A Cloud, but thats too long,so you can just call me Cloud or any other variations of that :). I live in Hungary and I'm 18 years old as of writing this.
I'm fairly new to music production, started it this summer (you guys were the inspiration :D),but I've been playing an instrument (piano) for quite a long time now. I tend to make chilled out music, but sometimes I venture into the hard parts (those don't turn out so well).
And of course, my favorite pony is Rainbow Dash (brohooves to the three bronies above me who also have a similar taste in pony!...that sounds a little weird)
Okay enough rambling, just wanted to say Hi!

Hello, I'm Collin, but just call me Newworldman.

As a musician, I have been playing double bass for 8 years, electric bass for 5, and guitar for 2. I have a basic background in theory and all that stuff. My prefer to play and write progressive rock/metal. I love to writing an recording, it always feels rewarding to have a finished product you can be proud of out of your labors.

Now, I became a brony in May, when it was added to Netflix and boredom drew me to it. I didn't really get active in the fandom until June, when I discovered all the amazing music that this fandom created. Of course I was drawn in with my love for music.

I hope to make music for everyone to enjoy, and I look forward to working with you guys in the future.

Oh... and everypony is best pony :P

Hey guys, my name is Mike (c wut i did thar)

I am 19, I have played clarinet for 4 years and switched to bass clarinet for 5 years, I have also fiddled around with guitar and bass guitar for 3 or so years; and I have played in band from 5th - my freshman year and in my high school's symphonic band for 3 years. Unfortunately, I have never taken a theory class, I just have that small bit of theory needed for performance under my belt.

I have gotten Mixcraft as my DAW a few months ago, and I have recently switched to Cubase (really drastic change) and I have also managed to get a few VSTs. I'm looking forward to creating some orchestral-esque pieces.

And eyup, that's about it

Postby konsolN » 30 Jul 2012 08:02

Hi,
I already made a vie posts butI didn't see this thread XD

I'm Lil_B,
I'm 20 and I started making music last December in an afford to make something creative, if I set infront of my PC the whole day in the middle of nowhere I might as well try and make something :). I loved music and I always had Melodys stuck in my head which I wanted to realize.
I took Keyboard lessons for 7 year but I never got good at it, due to lazyness and songs that just never interrested me. And then I had to quite because I couldn't go to take lessons anymore because of my apprenticeship (and at the same time... my keyboard broke :/ ).

I use LMMS for my songs because currently I'm back in school and have no money spent on costly Soft or Hardware, so I decided to try and make good music with only free Programms, Sounds and VSTs.

My Style is heavily influenced by Video Game music... thats really all there is to say XD
I have atm orchestral Stuff and Chiptunes uploaded (check out my Discografy I made yesterday) I hope I get some Feedback, I'm by no means good, my music always sound s very flat.

This Forum is great for beginners, since MLP and the Community got a lot of people to start trying out new crafts and the Tutorials here are very good for beginners . And I hope I'll get support and Opinions on some of my songs (in my opinion you can't make a song just on your own, you need second opinions).

... and Rarity is best Pony
I make different kinds of music, often get told that It sounds like something for a Video Game because I make only instrumentals, never had a chance to make music for an actual game. I would love to.

Ah. I didn't see this one earlier. I'll paste what I typed in my Discography.

Hey there. I just joined. It's great that these forums work exactly like another once that I frequent.

Anyhow, about me. I am a 20 year old Swedish male brony that has sorta recently discovered music, and how it sorta works. I'm a drummer, and I'd love to collab with anyone that preferably writes acoustic/other music that works with acoustic drums. Here's how my drums basically sounds like: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/84794517/Drums ... %20far.mp3 There's quite a buzz, but I doubt it will be noticeable in a song. So contact me if you're interested. I've already sent a drum recording to Tarby to work off of and make a song, so I'm looking forward to that. I'm also up to singing for songs if you think I'll be able to. (soundcloud below.)

My drum info:
Kit: Mapex Horizon
Hi-Hat: Zildjian 14"
Crash: Zildjian 16"
Crash: Zildjian 18"
Ride: Zildjian 20"
Snare: 14"
Tom 1: 10"
Tom 2: 12"
Tom 3: 16"
Bass: 22"
Mapex double bass pedals
Mapex boom stands for cymbals
Mics: Audio-Technica MB-DK5

Experience: Learned drums by playing Guitar hero and Rock band, picked up digital drums two years ago, and got the acoustic ones about two months ago. So I'm a newbie. Help on making my drums sound better/improving my skills will be appreciated.

As for what I have done music wise. Here's my soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/iamfilleg
I have some covers, random stuff more or less "Original" in really low quality in all ways imaginable. All I've ever used for recording is real life instruments and audacity. Please give the stuff there a listen. This is what I believe I've pulled of the best http://soundcloud.com/iamfilleg/still-alive-cover

Please get back to me to comment or let me know if you wanna work with me.

Postby ghelded_kultz » 03 Aug 2012 11:11

Hello. We are Ghelded Kultz, the absolute worst band to come out of Stallion Dimas (guys, can you help me think of a better pun. That one makes me hurt). We have two members Soft D. String DeHooves (Vocals, Tech Stuff, Artist) and Matt Metronome Clipclop (Treatments, Lyrics, NoiseMusic). Despite our name, we don't really do hard rock but more of anti-music and parodies.

Outside of this silly roleplaying, more info on us.

The person represented by Matt Metronome Clipclop plays the french horn (poorly) and the piano (even worse). He also can kind of play the berimbau, bull roarer and vuvuzela, among other things. He listens to a variety of music but is most influenced (in attitude if not musically) by Throbbing Gristle, Nine Inch Nails, Fugazi, Velvet Underground, The Residents, They Might Be Giants, Jello Biafra, Low and other bands. Clipclop is also the manager/producer for ŠyÞed Pyklez and is thinking about branching out into writing experimental and bizzaro troll fics.

Unlike the previous, Soft D. String DeHooves's person does not an avant garde taste in music. He is a fan of rock and metal outfits like System of a Down, Disturbed, Iron Maiden, Dragon Force and They Might Be Giants. Despite his terrible taste in music he is willing to work with Clipclop to produce the future of equestrian music. He plays the piano (terribly) and has recently attempted to learn the guitar. He is the author Ganondox on fimfiction and is best known for writing Learn to Fly and Heavy Metal Fluttershy.

The two members of Ghelded Kultz are currently homeless but both will be moving to Jakarta, Indonesia in August. Both became bronies around the same time, in July/August 2011.

To end, We have noticed that there are some missing genres on this list. We plan on filling the void in noise, industrial and maybe even obscure punk subgenres, among other genres. Thank you for having us.

Well, let's get this started, shall we?

My name is Daniel, but I go under Creepy Pie!

To make my introduction short, I'll just go over a few things.

1.) I use FL Studio 10 as my main DAW.
2.) My favorite pony is Pinkie Pie.
3.) My music wraps around a grimdark era.
4.) I am a homosexual.
5.) I've always been (and still am) a Vocaloid producer.

If someone noticed, when I see something up as a challange or event, I'm usually one of the first to jump in and grab at the chance! Like, even before I made this intro, I jumped into a charity event on the forum here!

So overall, yeah.

I'm not so creepy when you meet me. I swear on that.

This is a little late, but I really don't care.

My name is Josh, but I produce under the name Pony Rampage.

I'll try to keep things relatively short

If you couldn't have guessed by my signature, my DAW of choice is Ableton Suite 8.

I often produce with another brony musician by the name of Pony Contaminated

I make dubstep, among other genres, though mainly dubstep.

My favorite pony is Applejack

I try to base my songs around characters from the show, though they usually don't turn out how I'd like them to (Haven't we all had times like that?)

So yeah, that's about it.

Postby Watashig » 05 Aug 2012 01:03

TLDR: HI!

Maybe I should post something here... or maybe I should wait a couple more months

I'm Watashig. Almost everywhere I go, that's my alias (except before I chose that alias some years back, and Steam).

I've been in the fandom since July '11. "My Little Nigga" and the infamous Physics project got me into the show, and my friend helped guide me into watching G4, where the fandom is. I think I had one of my insanity breaks at that point...

I stumbled around YouTube and found "For the New Lunar Republic," which got me into the fandom (EqD of course). I dwell and lurk in tons of places, but this is the first brony community where I've actually emerged.

I didn't really listen to much music before joining the fandom, but I listen to tons of EDM and a lot of *core. A lot of the younger musicians inspired me to try my hand at this.

I'm aiming for DnB and dark ambiance. I have next to no knowledge besides what I've picked up since signing up here in terms of music, and I've got a smaller goal for the time being: make a song.

I think that's all that needs to be said, and I don't want to drag out this post too much. See you around!

Hello! I'm White Ink (well, that's not my real name), and I'm a weird teenager who decided to make music. I'm mainly aiming to produce Drum & Bass, although I'm going to actually end up producing pretty much every major EDM genre and a few other genres. I've been in the fandom since September of last year, and intend on staying forever.

My Little Pony brought me into both music and writing, and, although I don't know if I'll end up doing either in the long term, I'm going to do them in the short term anyways. Might as well do something with my life.

As you can probably guess, my favorite genre is Drum & Bass (considering that it's what I want to produce), followed closely by trance, house and then dubstep. I can listen to any genre except heavy metal, assuming the music is good.
I make music because I'm not mediocre at everything yet.

Greetings! I've actually been a member here for about a month now, I suppose I should introduce myself properly.

My real name is Jesse, but I go by the name of Amnesiac, and I tend to make electronic music, although sometimes I like to make something a bit different. I freakin' love dubstep, metalcore, and pretty much anything but country music.
I've been a Brony for just over a year now. I play guitar, drums, and the piano/keyboard. I also use the crappiest computer built by man.
I've been making music for about two years, but haven't been releasing anything until about a month ago. I'm always open to critique, instruction, or anything that will help me improve my music.
My DAW is Fruity Loops 10, currently.
My favorite ponies are, in order, Fluttershy, Luna, and Vinyl Scratch.
My favorite Brony musicians are Glaze, Aviators, and Sim Gretina.
I'm monumentally lazy and don't tend to upload much. Welcoming to critique!
