I was looking for a thread like this :D

My name is Derezzie( or Sai for formal)
Ive been producing for 2 years but recently have been producing pony related music for a few months. I have just started uploading my pony songs on soundcloud, youtube EQbeats, ect.

Anywhoves, I make primarily electronica and its various subgroups (Techno,Indie Tronica, ect)
The primary sub genre I produce and love though is Dirty Dutch and Electro reminiscent of the bloody beetroots, Boys Noize,Royksopp, Afrojack ect :)
I wanna try and bring this kind of EDM into the pony music scene as opposed to the various Techno, Dubstep, Hardstyle artists out there. I wanna try and get into other genres like Hip Hop, acoustic ect to broaden my experience.
So anyway :D Yea thats me and I hope to get along with the mlp community here and around the web

DAW: "FL studio 10" and "Abelton Live Intro "

Hardware: Akai Pro. MIDI Drum pad.

HAY
My name's Alex and I'm 17 years old, Asian (Vietnamese), from Melbourne, Australia. I've been producing since January this year, thanks to ponies. I have Soundcloud and Youtube, but I mostly post to Soundcloud as it's more convenient :) This account is also my brother' Jon's (he just turned 13), and he's produced a couple of tracks himself (see the Winter Wrap Up remix and Avast Fluttershy's Ass remix).

Best ponies are Fluttershy and Sweetie Belle

We use FL Studio Mobile and Nanostudio for iOS. Hoping to get some actual decent equipment at some point in the distant future. We know it'll be awesome here on MLR!

(already used this site for a while, but i just saw this thread and I wanted to say hi to everyone anyways) :)
I have moved on from this artist name. I am now DJ Skrudge, and will release my first tracks at the end of this year.

Hello, I'm Sai and I have a lurking problem.

This fandom is the main thing that convinced me to actually try out the whole music composition thing after hearing so many people creating a huge load of great work.
I've basically been struggling to understand FL Studio on and off since the end of last year, among other activities (I *think* I've got a decent grip on it now), but I'm trying to focus more on music than anything else now. Staying focused is something I suck at though, so yeah, I have a way to go before I make some significant progress.

Genres are awkward, but in general most of my favourite music is dubstep, DnB and orchestral stuff. Sometimes metal too. I'm not very picky most of the time, but that does kinda make it a bit difficult to choose a genre to work with sometimes...

Anyway, there seem to be a load of people here that make music that I really enjoy, so hopefully I'll be able to learn a lot more from everything people post here.

Why hello Sai, and welcome to The Madhouse My Little Remix! :D I'm sure you'll be able to find a comfortable place in our community before too long.

Also, I know that feel, bro. But that can be a good thing. I don't really think I have any sort of 'thing,' I just make stuff and then play around with calling it some stupid subgenre to see how many people I can piss off  But yeah, just make music, any kind of music, and let other people tear their hair out classifying it.

Well, that sounds fun.
Yeah, I can see how it would be kind of nice to just make whatever, but I guess I like to just have a foundation in certain areas so I know what to mess around with later. I'm still learning about a load of different types of music anyway (I hadn't even heard a single dubstep track before ponies, and so on).

Still, that's an interesting way of thinking about it.

...wait, madhouse?

Hey everyone! I'm Lopsided, or Jack for my real name, and I'm pretty new to the production scene, only mucking around with it for a few months now, as well as lurking this board until a few weeks ago.

Ponies and pony music inspired me to start making music, so I'm really keen to start making things (once exams are over D:) and entering toastbeard and such. I make orchestral music, although I'd like to start doing some more electronic stuff in the far, far future.

I'm also Australian, and from what I can tell I'm the only Tasmanian music brony there is, which is kind of lame really, but eh.

So yeah, I'm keen to be on this board with so many talented people and all that!

Hi there!

My name's Vhalence, a.k.a. VMbriar in a few places. I'm a university student from Cambridge, MA in the U.S., and I'm very (very very) new to making the musicks; I've taken an intro theory class, but that's pretty much all I've got on the technical side, with no experience recording or producing. In the past couple weeks I've been trying to put together an a capella cover in Audition CS6, since I'm a fair singer and beatboxing is really the only musical skill I have at this point, but I've had limited success and am considering switching to Ableton.

I'm interested in trying out synths and full-out composition as well, but I'm trying to get any experience under my belt before I go throwing chords at my computer and expecting them to sound good.

You all seem cool. Looking forward to meeting you! :D

So I'm Sauce. I make music and stuff, as seen here (http://soundcloud.com/they-call-me-sauce). I'm still learning and stuff.

Hello! I'm Thyrai. I've been making music for awhile now (guitar, drums) and I've just recently got into the whole electronic deal. I'm interested in a wide variety of genres - anything from metal to liquid drum n bass. Though, my favourites at the moment are probably electro house and trance.

I hope to get to know some of you and learn as much as I can! I'm also willing to help out in any way possible :)

Postby Doctor Science » 21 Jul 2012 00:09

Hi, I'm Adam! I'm a college freshman from Texas, and I will be studying computer science this fall, and I might also pick up a second major in music composition or recording technology. I've been interested in writing music since the fifth grade, and in the past I've messed around making music in small bands with my friends and writing a few things for small ensembles in Finale, but only recently have I begun to take it more seriously. I know a few things about composing and theory from reading books and my AP Music Theory class, and I am a multi-instrumentalist (viola, flute, drum set, guitar, double bass, piano), although I've lost interest in playing instruments and haven't kept up practice with anything in the past few months.

I want to use what knowledge I have to help fellow artists grow and learn, and hopefully you guys will encourage and teach me as well. You'll probably find me jumping on threads with <orchestral> tags most of the time to give feedback, especially ones with zero or few replies, as I don't know that much about things like dubstep and other electronic genres and I don't want anybody to be ignored and miss out on the praise and constructive criticism that they probably came here for.

I use FL Studio 10 and Kontakt 5's factory library and my favorite genre is ELECTROSWING, though I don't usually write anything in it!

I'm so late in doing this too, but I never did it yet o.o. So hear I goez.

Hai dere. My name is VINXIS (I'll never tell you my real name so live with it :D). I'm turning 14 this year at Halloween. Me livez in Edmonton, Canada (underneath mah naime it's also there). I always wanted to collab with someone who made chiptune/8-bit, I don't know why. I also have a strong urge to collab with Teithepony (like it'll ever happen but I'd learn so much from him yay :D). I've grown up listening to rock and rap and I was never into electronic until Linkin Park made a Thousand Suns and I saw a Skrillex ad on a youtube video.... I make electronic with vsts and rock when I use my bass, guitar, or organ and play live (I never post it anywhere)
I use mixcraft and my fav. genre is rap rock. I never tried listening to orchestral/making orchestral though (and classical) besides Makkon :3. I'm in Grade 9 nao.
If I ever get the chance to get signed, it would depend, if I haven't finished university by then, I'd say no. I like to be credited (even a little tiny bit of credit works) in anything I help somewhat/a lot in. (I hope that doesn't sound selfish).

That's all I can think of.

So, I've had this account for some time now, but I haven't posted much around here. I guess now's a good time to start.

Hi there! I'm a guy from Rural Shithole, Illinois. I'm a drummer and a lyricist, and I've recently been trying to get into this whole songwriting thing. I've only got one song finished and put online at the moment, but I'm going to keep at it. This seems like a nice community, and I'd love to hang around a bit and hopefully learn something from all you awesomely talented people :D

Also, if anyone's in need of some lyrics, I'd love to collaborate!
