I'm 16, and I just finished my sophomore year of high school. I mostly listen to rock, but over the past few months I've been listening to almost nothing but pony. I frequent the MLPlounge on Reddit. Twilight is best pony.

A big hello to all. I'm Cherax Destructor. At least, when I'm making music, I am. You can call me Cherax for short. You may even, on a good day, call me Cherry. Some of you may recognise me from Toastbeard or Skype. If you do: 'sup.

About me: I've been writing music for as long as I can remember, but then, I don't have a very good memory. I try not to think about the past too much, because I don't think it's even been a full year since I discovered compressors. That was the day Everything Changed.

I play guitar, bass and keys, and sing; not particularly well in any case, but hey, that's never stopped me. I use Ableton Live. Without music, my life would be tragically empty. Without reverb, my music would be tragically empty. My all-time favourite bands are Sigur Ros, the Flaming Lips. My current favourite bands are Baths and Why?.

You can find me on Bandcamp (finished things, non-pony things) and Soundcloud (WIPs, silly things), and doubtless, all around this forum in days to come. Gawd, I love this community.

I found this fun little thing of a forum here through another forum, which I discovered through another forum, which I discovered through another forum. I play a classical guitar, can play bass and a few chords on ukulele and banjo. The funny thing is, I started playing music just to get my mother to stop trying to get me out of my bedroom and be a bit more social. I'm glad I finally did say "yes" to one of her suggestions and that was to go to a music school. Not a very expensive, prestigious one, but not a bad one either. Two times a week for half an hour. I picked the guitar just because. I dabble in Sibelius when I'm not busy wasting my life away on the Internet.
