I've started work on designing a bitcrusher from scratch. And by 'scratch' I mean I'll use OP amps, and I'll be making my own logic functions... with premade gates. I'm not going down to transistor level. That would just be a waste of time, money and effort.
I don't know if I'll build it, but it's a fun project, so I might just do it. So far I have a rough scetch of the circuitry, and a scematic for the logic. (I doubt most of you know what I mean by logic, and I don't wanna bombard you with nerdy electronics stuff... not here anyway)

I figure it would be cool to have the samplerate controlled via CV (or midi if I'm lazy). It's a frequency, so why not play it. I'm not to familiar with bitcrushers, is that a common feature, or did I actually have an original idea?

I'm also finaly started on an old project idea. Making my electone organ midi controlable. However I'm kinda stuck atm cause I havent figure out how the keys send note data yet...

I might make a thread about all this later, when I have slightly tidyer circuit diagrams to show off...

I finally made an OC today. After like 11 months of wanting one.
But I used an OC generator so it looks like a pony made from flash.
I like the hand drawn looks better. So I'll unveil my OC after I get some hand drawn type version.
I have to find someone first though.

For those of you interested.
The Pedestrian Drone is currently only a concept at this point in time. It is basically a guitar pedal version of the Droner, allowing (hopefully) the guitar to control the oscillators. There will be no modulation controls. The controls will be, Input boost (to boost the input to operate the oscillators properly), 3 oscillator knobs (these generally speaking control the voltage across the oscillator), Volume knob (This controls the final output stage), 2 mini toggle switches (to turn the two switchable oscillators on and off) bypass switch. Each unit will also feature 2 LEDs, one to show if it is bypassed or not, the other acting as a signal light for the input stage. Each unit will be hand engraved, making each unit unique, they will also be individually numbered. I will keep you updated on the progress of this. Take not that currently this project is taking priority over the standard Droner.
