How pointless is Youtube?

Sports, politics, movies, videogames, questionable hobbies, photos from your family vacation, etc. Talk about stuff that isn't ponies or music. But do try to stay on topic and respectful of alternate opinions.

So yeah, this is me following up with my comment to the song in question on Youtube (as Merc013). About the track: it has a cool atmosphere and a nice chill tone that I frankly don't hear a lot of from other brony musicians (that's probably because I mostly listen to the big names, Living Tombstone, JackleApp, Silva Hound etc... which probably goes some way towards proving your point, but I digress). The point I'm trying to make is that you shouldn't stop (though I guess you already came to that conclusion) but I hope that the assurances of one new fan (and new subscriber) will help assure you that you made the right decision.

I personally have been trying to get some work done on my first real song, don't know how pony it will be, but it was definitely inspired by the MLP community. Sorry for a bit of a self-plugging tangent there, but I guess I just want someone else to know what this community has done for me.

TL;DR: great song, don't give up, I'm looking forward to your next one. :)

A heck of a reason to have a YouTube channel for your music. :P

Untrue we get soundcloud links as well and judge them the same way we do with YouTube links.
Heck something broke by tarby was on soundcloud cause of its length but got its own post.

Thanks guys, this will be good for my thesis.

And personally as someone who enjoys doing visual arts and music at the same time, YouTube is a good medium to blend both music and visual arts together. I think we should take this advantage as well; collabing with animators, artist, etc etc etc and finally present a good outcome for our music via YouTube. And that of course, raise the chance for you to interact with the audience.

I may only put bumper images on my videos but most of us do, and I think most of us enjoy making that bumper images.
